If true, it'll be pretty ironic that 7 generations of Duttons fought and died just to end up back at the place Tim McGraw started the journey from (or, I guess, more accurately, where 1883 picked up the journey).GreasenUSA said:

Yeah, seems like anyone could've told you this. It's a shame because 1883 and 1923 have shown that he still clearly has it. Yellowstone went too long. I wish he'd just do more one- or two-offs.
He's doing too much and quality is down big.
Kevin is done with Yellowstone at the end of this season. The show might be over.

This sounds like a terrible idea. There is plenty of tension and drama with the existing characters even without Costner to let it run its course without creating a vehicle for another big star to join in the middle and then lead.Charpie said:

I purchased Season 5 for streaming from Amazon early last year. Obviously only Part 1 was available at the time, but it was supposed to include Part 2. That was going to be later in the year, and we all know what has occurred in the time since.
So now that Part 2 is almost here, last night Amazon issues me a $5 refund on my original purchase. I was confused, thinking they were dropping Part 2 from my purchase. And $5 does not make up for losing half a season.
This morning I get an e-mail from Amazon. It turns out they lowered the price of the season pass, and it seems they were trying to be fair to people who had already bought one.
If there is a single show that I want to see on a particular streaming service, I usually find it easier just to buy the season from on Amazon. It usually works out to a wash when compared to a month or two of a streaming service I don't really want.

Its on Paramount, so probably once a week.

he wanted less shooting time to accommodate his western movies series he is working on and got really difficult in agreeing to terms with production. he also claims some contractual shenanigansCapstone said:

production did not agree to his demands and moved on. after that point he seemed willing to be more accommodating but they had already moved on.
plus i think there was just a lot of bad blood going on in the background for a while that bubbled over.
