Got the email earlier this week that Disney is increasing the price of their streaming services beginning December 25th (Merry Christmas!).

My subscription is going from $7.99/mo to $10.99/mo which is quite a jump. You can remain at the $7.99 price but it will be ad-supported.

I have it for the kids but this actually makes me want to cancel it - we just don't use it enough.

Huh? $3/month means more to your budget than $450 million means to theirs?

I can't imagine how much grief you guys give restaurants if you're upset over a $3/month hike in something that should either be providing you hours of entertainment or be canceled.

This is always the stupidest comment and shows a lack of fiscal thought or responsibility.

Is $3 a lot of money? No.
Should I give everyone $3 who asks for it just because? Also no.

Many of the people I know with money are some of the tightest people.

No, it really wasn't. I looked several months ago at what Disney+ offered at its lower rate and decided that it wasn't good for value and cancelled it. Obviously the value of the service will be different for everybody.

And we should be upset about the unnecessary rise in prices across all industries and of all denominations. Attacking a poster because you don't think the amount of the increase is significant is petty and mean spirited.

as soon as White Lotus and Hard Knocks is over I am cancelling HBO Max and only going with netflix for streaming. and amazon prime for my shopping
