This was a fun way to pass 40 minutes. They were clearly playing in the bounds of a modest budget and emulating sappy holiday movies, and they did a good job of it. I'm sure I'll forget all about it by the end of the week.

I feel like this is a show that should allow for going off-topic. It's a 40-minute holiday special that came out two weeks ago. Are the detours preventing anyone from discussing the show or anything? Come on y'all.

I enjoyed the hell out of it. Wasn't expecting movie quality production or writing, instead opting for I would rather have this than nothing at all mentality.

I could have gone for less Mantis, but enjoyed Drax. Would have preferred more Groot and Rocket, but happy to get what I got.

I'll likely watch again this time next year, but not until then.

I for one thought this thread derail was more entertaining than the actual GOTG special itself. Too bad someone had to tattle.

We watched it last Tuesday before we had our beagle put to sleep at home. It was a nice way to pass some family time with a few laughs and some Christmas sentiment.

When viewed through the lens of just watching a goofy Christmas special, it was entertaining. I wasn't looking for Guardians 3, here.

I also found the original songs and the soundtrack songs they chose to be very catchy. Gonna have to play those on Spotify.

Finally saw this today. It was fun! Sort of surprised by how many big revelations/changes were made here that could be impactful on future titles. We got a new spaceship called the Bowie (David I presume), the sibling reveal, Cosmo the dog, the ownership/caretaking of Knowhere, new weird bigger Groot, and, most importantly of all, Go-Bots are canon to the MCU.

Nebula is one of my favorite MCU characters.

Karen Gillan does such a good job with how serious that character has to be portrayed.
