Was at the Houston show also. I'm mid 50s and took wife and teenage kids. I did feel older compared to rodeo crowds, etc. I have seen him before. Was one of the best concerts that I have been to in a long time. Dude is something different from everyone else. My son has done the pit in the past. It gets really hot down there and some of them line up outside mid afternoon in heat and then enter the stadium at 5:00 to be front rows of pit to see Zach come on at 9:15 ... I'm sure there is also some alcohol involved. I think of the "downers" are real and he is super cautious ... probably his military background kicking in.
What I am trying to figure out is if they "prescreen" any of the kids that sing along with him each night to "Going South"? While some are not that great, most are pretty good. I/m just surprised there are not more total failures of picking a teenager out of the crowd to sing and play a guitar to "Going South"?
