Was live tonight, and awesome. When he's on point he is as good as they come,
And yes, the last 7 or 8 minutes he addresses the Will Smith slap and doesn't hold back.

A year of keeping mostly silent, taking the high road, and tonight he finally unleashed on Jada and Will during the last 10 minutes and it was beautiful.

It was live tonight, not sure if it was made available immediately after. It had a whole pre and post show that was fairly lame. I just caught it all by accident.

While the stuff at the end was awesome and there were some other really good bits, a lot of it didn't really seem to be up to what I expect from him. It seemed like he was nervous doing it live, and understandably. He flubbed a couple jokes, including one of the major ones about Will and Jada.

The replay is up. 15 min in and I'm definitely enjoying it.

Sounds like I need to give it another shot. Turned it on and watched about 10-15 minutes but it didn't grab me.

I definitely felt like it was his weakest stand-up. Many of the bits on wokeness and other things did not sound very original or unique. They were a lot of observations and jokes I have heard others make, whether on podcasts or just in my normal life.

I'm used to getting more from Rock. I laughed some, but overall would say it doesn't even touch Bigger and Blacker or Don't Shoot the Messenger.

The Robert Kardashian bit (you aren't going to repeat this at work) had me rolling. And I liked the way Rock looped his opening "Selective Outrage" bit to tie into the Will Smith incident. The rest of the show was good, but nothing unique.

Haven't seen it yet, but your review sounds like mine after Rock performed here last year. It was after the slap so I was hoping for something good.

Instead, it was weak and nothing near the edgy humor of his youth.

It didn't really hit home with me or my wife. Couple laughs, but it didn't even seem like the audience was laughing hard. Glad I watched, but it wasn't much above good.

I guess i was even a little disappointed because I had heard Rogan mention several times on his podcast that Rock was tearing it up on the road lately.

C-. Maybe his jokes have just been stolen and repackaged by others over the last year that he's been working on his material but I felt like I had heard a good number of those jokes from others already. I'll give it to him for trying it live, though.

The opening, closing were good. Rest was pretty forgettable by Chris Rock standards.

I thought it was funny as hell except for the abortion segment.

I thought Chris Rock tore it up.

I was laughing my ass off throughout the whole performance.

Chris Rock is not as funny as Dave Chappelle.....but damn.....he's very good and very funny.

I watched it - not live - I thought it was funny stuff. I am not fond of Rock's delivery - he just yells too much for me to really enjoy it.
If you think I am a liberal, you are incorrect. Assume sarcasm on my part. Sorry if something I post has already been posted. Just the way it is!!

From what I can tell, you can re-watch it, but you can't fast forward through it. I tried to show my wife just the last 10 minutes last night for the will smith stuff, but it won't let you go forward, you have to watch the whole thing.

Yep, I went into this with high expectations based on Rogan and other comedians talking about how he has been "next level" since "the incident"...to be fair, maybe he has, but this wasn't it. Was very disappointed. There were some funny moments, but this was his worst performance I have ever seen. Turned it off when he started ranting about abortion...it just wasn't good enough up until that point for me to start taking preachy lectures from a male comedian. Had it been better, I probably would have just gotten through that part and tried to enjoy the rest. But nah.

Did y'all get upset when Bill Burr talked about abortion at Red Rocks?

Why would someone have an abortion at Red Rocks? A hospital or other medical facility makes so much more sense.

The sun beating down on those rocks all day sterilizes the venue. It's safe.

I dunno - kind of ruins the experience for folks who just wanted to see Dave Matthews in concert. But then I guess that's no more than they deserve.

I think liberal females in the crowd probably got very upset. That was hilarious...brilliant the way he did it...possibly offending people on both sides of the issue, but without coming off as a preachy male feminist who acted like it's insane to have laws against killing unborn children kinda how we do with killing unborn sea turtles etc.

The way Chris Rock framed certain states' abortion laws as one of the top problems in our country...just so dumb I had to turn it off. And like I said, if his material had been funnier up to that point, I probably would have just watched it through, but it wasn't that funny to me. I was really pulling for him and wanted it to be great.

Overall I thought it was pretty great.

Not as great as some of his previous specials, but those are iconic, so holding him to those standards is unreasonable. The abortion material I thought was the weakest, but I loved the material on his daughter and loved the Karadishon material and the whole Will Smith stuff was great.

I saw this same show live at the Majestic in January. Rock is awesome live, he performed for over 2 hours which I didn't expect. I think he was actually better in the live show I saw than the Netflix special.

Dave Chapelle's bit on abortion was much better than Rock's.

I always find it funnier when a comedian goes into a bit seemingly on the audience's side, then throws a curve ball. I like comedy that challenges both sides of an argument, and calls out the ridiculousness of both.

I've always considered Rock to be one of my favorite comedians, but this just wasn't it, for me.

Have yet to finish it because my firestick was freezing up, but it wasn't a laugh riot for me either. Long stretches reminded me of Christopher Titus - where the guy just keeps talking about himself and his family and you're waiting for a joke but it's more of a spoken word Henry Rollins type rant. A lot of it I may have nodded my head in agreement with (I ****ing hate Subaru commercials), but I wasn't laughing much.

Just finished it. I liked it a lot more than his last special. Obviously, it's not Bring the Pain or Bigger and Blacker, but those are some of the greatest routines ever. I thought this one was pretty funny though. The Kardashian bit was probably my favorite part. Ripping into Will was fun, too, but he had very few jokes in that section. Just spitting facts about Will Smith and his wife. Anyways, I give it three stars. Good, not great.
