Who the hell has Donatello as their favorite ninja turtle?

Brilliant decision to have the Turtles voiced by actual teenagers - it adds so much to the film tonally, but also the humor pops more. Yes it’s an origin story, but it pulls the best parts of the #TMNT lore & adds a freshness to it all. Truly, you TMNT nerds will adore this film pic.twitter.com/xNdNCDz9Ix

I don’t think I could’ve loved #TMNTmovie #mutantmayhem more. Holy CRAP.

Effortlessly cool & retro while also being hip & hilarious, it wraps you up in a meaningful story while weaving a brand new turtle tale. The music choices are amazing too. I smiled & laughed the whole time. pic.twitter.com/AD2xVL7bz4
It’s great but the 90s needle drops dominate and set the tone a bit more

How long before people freak out of April O'Neil being black. I don't do a whole lot of social media, but I'm sure someone is melting down somewhere lol

I do admit that I'm looking forward to this more than I was Spider-verse as well. As badass as the Spider-verse movie have been, this looks to have a level of humor and charm that those movies simply don't have, that I think I'm going to gravitate slightly more toward here, but we'll see.
Not to mention that the first Spider-Verse film was pretty damn charming (and funny).jeffk said:TCTTS said:Brian Earl Spilner said:

I'm really excited about this turtles flick. But I think comparisons between it and Spiderverse are sort of shallow and mainly based on the fact that they're both animated. They can absolutely both be good and still different. This turtles movie is the first iteration into a new presentation style with this property and I think that'll drive a lot of excitement and eyeballs. Across the Spiderverse was part II of a trilogy and sort of needed to be more serious and dark in nature to set up the finale next year.
Sorry to nitpick. I really am looking forward to getting some better Ninja Turtles. I just think making direct comparisons is going to do both films a disservice.
