By the way, one other point on my "opposition" here.
I was actually into this stuff probably before almost anyone here. In my day it was Roswell, thr Nova Scotia USO, Kecksberg. Stanton Friedman, Bob Lazar, Rendlesham Forest, Budd Hopkins and his work on missing time, Tunguska, Lonnie Zamora, Travis Walton, Fire in the Sky…. I can't count how many of those stories I voraciously ate up and researched. And in the end, they were all identical. Interesting stories with little to no actual proof of anything. And the people promoting them were always "one step away" from the truth. Particularly after I found out through my own research that Lazar had a sordid past and criminal record that was never mentioned by any of the "respected UFO researchers" I finally grew out of the "I want to believe phase". 30 plus years later, we are still there though, one step away, lots of "could or "may".
Again... you're simply not stating facts. Which is especially ironic in this instance, seeing as you have Friedman and Lazar's names listed next to each other when, in reality, Friedman notoriously exposed Lazar. In fact, it was Friedman who did the first digging on Lazar, called the various schools inquiring about his records, and ultimately came to the conclusion that Lazar was full of sh*t. Friedman was the OG Lazar hater. And ever since then, most respected experts in the field also find Lazar to be highly dubious, if not a flat-out lier, for the exact reasons you mentioned. Outside of Jeremy Corbell, in what world are any of these people hiding/failing to mention Lazar's criminal record, the many inconsistencies in his story, how shady he is, etc? His ridiculously suspect past IS the thing he's most known for now among respected circles.

Though as our technology gets better, so do the stories, which always seem to be just one step ahead of where we are at the time.
This too. Again, just not at all accurate. Seeing as, since the '40s, reports of UAP have always described them as defying the laws of physics in all the same ways, showing no visible means of propulsion, having made sharp, 90-degree turns while flying thousands of miles an hour, traveling from the ocean to the stratosphere (and back) in seconds, etc. What witnesses of the 2004 Nimitz incident refer to as white a "tic tac" were referred to as white "butane tanks" by pilots in the 40s/50s. Never mind WWII pilots describing encounters with "orbs," same as our pilots today (like Ryan Graves), while the traditional disc-shape UAP has remained the most consistently and prominently reported shape for nearly eight decades now.
As for the whole piloted-by-consciousness thing, that's been rumored for some time now as well.
In fact, the only "new" information/tech I can recall is the idea that the craft themselves might be conscious in some way as well. Otherwise, I genuinely don't know what you're referring to, re: your comment above.
