Semantics and definitions - depending upon wording, immediate and direct questions must follow, such as: are there formal agreements, now or since the war? Have abductions been allowed? Have people been murdered to maintain secrecy?

Age of Disclosure was persuasive full, blanket amnesty must be a part of "full disclosure" - otherwise, expect drips of mush.

My guess is that mush lines will be crossed at the prompting of entities and events, but much blurriness remains.

Ehhhh, nothing really shocks us (the public at large) anymore.

And even if a US President walked out holding hands with a real life Alien, the people that supported the other party wouldn't believe it because somehow everything is political. And a big chunk of the public wouldn't believe it because of AI videos and images.

It would be a big moment, for sure… but I don't think it would be the movie scene / world stops moment that it would have been 10-20 years ago.

I think this is a naive take. We're talking the known existence of life from somewhere else. That disrupts society in a big way, maybe not in every facet immediately, but for the rest of our time it would be an anchor point. And it probably would cause a worldwide frenzy for at least a few days until things would slow down.

This is outright false IMO. News with irrefutable proof will absolutely destroy the nice little world we have built for ourselves. Outright violence, religious strife, and suicides will literally be unchartable to anything else in human history and it won't be close I think.

I think you downplay man's fear of the unknown and what they will do to deny/destroy that fear. It will also cause us to question EVERYTHING we know. From our current politics to science to our very history.

A true disclosure event will mark an era in the total sum of human history. Something akin to AD/BC. Of one ending and another starting. I truly believe it will be that impactful.
