How about Rochelle Rochelle? The story of a young woman's erotic journey from Milan to Minsk. I don't think you'd want to take kids to that.
I wish I hadn't taken the kids to see Sack Lunch.HtownAg92 said:
I took my kids to see Cry, Cry Again. First you cry, then you see the dancing, then you cry again.

Total Recall when I was 8 or 9 is the memorable one for me, but we watched tons of movies like that when we were young. . I remember my friends and I being fascinated with the girl with 3 boobs.
Your kids will be fine. They already know all the bad words anyway.
That's a solid entry.HesatouchdownJr said:
Dad took me and some older cousins to see Friday the 13th at the drive in. I was 4.
I was joking; that movie's not for anyone. I powered through to see what the buzz was about, but it's just glossy shock and I've never seriously recommended it to anyone.RightWingConspirator said:Microwave Onions said:
Wanted to expose the young'ns to a little European culture, so I took em to an art house showing of A Serbian Film. The tickets weren't cheap, so of course we stayed for the whole thing, but I probably should have researched before purchasing.
Ouch. I heard that one is definitely not for kids. Some folks say it's not really for adults, either.

late October 2000 I turned 9 and my mom took me and 8 friends out to see Remember the Titans, but somehow we walked into a theater showing Requiem for a Dream and stayed until the end.
I am happy to say all 9 of us (and my mom) have never touched a single drug in our lives.
That's silly. If it wasn't for kids, why would they put a clown in the movie?Orozco05 said:
My mom and I watched Poltergeist at home when I was like 5. She quickly ended that, so it was not finished. I was terrified. To this day, I have not watched the entire movie.

Between the lax parenting and the heyday of horror films, it's really hard to top those of us who grew up in the early 80s.
Still one of my favorite movies of all time.Nagler said:
Not my kids but when we were seeing Team America: World Police two different groups of people with kids left very shortly after it started. Made me chuckle.
Watched it on a bootleg DVD that I bought in a little shop in Iraq with my platoon in the summer of 2004. You've never heard people laugh that hard.TXCityAggie said:Still one of my favorite movies of all time.Nagler said:

I was 8 and saw total recall at the drive in theater. Those three **ties seared that one in my mind. Huge deal for an 8 year old.TXAG 05 said:

Yeah, I had a "friend" when I lived in Killeen when I was 6 who showed me Texas Chainsaw Massacre and convinced me Leatherface lived under a neighbor's house. I didn't add it to the thread because my parents weren't stupid enough to show me that one.
