Footage leaked yesterday at D23 in Brazil. here's a brief gif. I get excited about this movie until I remember Jared Leto is in it.

I hear you, but Nine Inch Nails is about as good of a consolation prize as we could have asked for. Especially considering Reznor and Ross have become two of the best cinematic composers over the past 15 years. Regardless, we're apparently getting our first listen with this trailer.

I agree completely. Pretty good second choice. I was being a bit hyperbolic. But I do really love that Legacy soundtrack.

It feels ironic saying this about a Tron movie, but I hope this isn't just a bunch of over CGI'd nonsense like Transformers. The first two did an amazing job at enhancing the film and not being the major focus (yes, I realize CGI in the first was somewhat a historic moment).

The cycle design looks a lot like the visuals at the new ride at Disney.

Great concept.

Decent teaser trailer.

Terrible lead.

Awesome poster.

Having seen a bootleg version of the trailer Disney revealed at D23 last year, which featured way more plot/footage, I was expecting a bit more/was little underwhelmed by this tease. That said, what we do see looks really cool, there's so much potential here, and we'll of course get a full trailer at some point this summer (likely in July with The Fantastic Four: First Steps).

It's a shame they couldn't get Hedlund or Wylde back for this.

I think either one would have done it if asked. It's not like Hedlund, in particular, is in great demand right now. That said, Tron: Legacy was somehow 15 years ago now, and wasn't quite the hit Disney wanted it to be at the time. To that end, my guess is that, for a number of a reasons, they elected to go the "soft reboot" route, while still keeping the same, general timeline, but basically starting fresh with mostly new characters. If this one is a success, though, I potentially could see them bringing Hedlund or Wilde back in the next one. Not as leads, but supporting characters who are needed by or cross paths with whatever new characters from this one make it to the hypothetical next one.

Would much rather have NIN than daft punk, who does absolutely nothing for me.

Interesting twist with the Tron programs coming to the real world. Like that post somewhere above, I'd be much more interested if it was anyone else but Jared Leto in the lead, but maybe it will work with him as a computer program since he already doesn't really fit in with humans.

Weird it was credited to NIN and not Reznor and Ross.

Anyone else expect Adam Sandler from Pixels to show up in the trailer?

Leto or not, looks pretty cool. Loved the last one. They would have to TRY to get me to not like this one. Step 1 completed with Leto. But there's still a chance.

I don't get why they keep putting Leto in anything. He's a **** actor and everything he's been in has bombed.

I absolutely LOVED Tron Legacy... one of my favorite 21st Century movies. I will be extremely disappointed if Sam and Quorra don't make an appearance.

The Trailer looked awesome for sure. We give a lot of crap about lazy CGI in today's movies, but everything I saw in the trailer looked top notch. My only concern is that this is a Disney production and they trashed so many franchises lately. Hoping this movie has nothing to do with, as The Critical Drinker says, "The Message!".

So a computer program breaks into the real world?

The original was a decent enough movie, but had the misfortune of releasing amid movies like Conan the Barbarian, Poltergeist, The Thing, Blade Runner, Star Trek II, and ET, where it just got a bit lost like another decent enough movie that summer, Firefox.

The sequel was hot garbage.

I'll probably watch this eventually but will go in with less than 0 expectations.

I actually rewatched Tron Legacy this weekend and it was still pretty fun. Far from perfect but it's a solid popcorn flick IMO. The thing that stuck out to me is how great everything looked with so much being CGI. Compare Tron Legacy to something like Ant-Man: Quantumania and it's crazy how better Tron looks, it's so clean and aesthetically pleasing. The only thing that stuck out to me was the de-aged Jeff Bridges, but that's a pretty small gripe compared to a lot of what we see today that's CGI. The music was great too, I had forgotten how well the score fit the movie.

Tron Legacy has one of the best soundtracks of all time. It and the Oblivion soundtrack are in my regular rotation. I've probably listened to those two soundtracks end to end more than anything else in the past several years.

I thought Legacy was really cool and it agree it was beautiful to watch considering it was all CGI.

I'm still not sure how I feel about Ares. I'm not as down on Jared Leto as others are so I'm going to give him a pass until I see it.

I don't get the hate for Legacy. I thought they did a good enough job continuing the story and made a pretty damn good looking movie in the process. Plus that soundtrack...

Legacy actually utilized 3-D incredibly well to add depth to the Grid, while most movies at the time were using it have random crap jump out at you..
