Being a rural kid I "got" what "short round" meant instantly back in 84. I do wonder how many actually know what that terms refers to.

For those don't, "short round" is a what we called .22 LR short cartridges. About half the size of a standard .22 LR cartridge or "round". I remember my dad and I laughing about it way back when. Genius that Indy was calling him that. Great writers.

I believe an artillery shell that falls short due to either poor aiming or malfunction is called a short round, also.

I can see that. We always called any off target artillery "loose rounds".

I like those meanings over what the web says.

It's a reference / quote from one of the all-time movie insulters. I got it, and I agree. Short Round's under-breath gripes are awesome.

And Kate Capshaw played the part she was given and was smoking hot. ToD wasn't as good as the others because of her. It wasn't as good as the others because they strayed from the formula -- Indy vs. Nazis.
