Didn't see a thread on this. Just got out and really enjoyed it. I'm interested in others opinions. My wife, 18 yo, and 15yo all thought it was great.

Been wondering about seeing this. Is it really a musical? What percentage of the movie is music/singing taking place? That might sway my decision.

I don't really remember it as a "musical", thankfully.

Absolutely not. It's a pretty solid family movie. They'll enjoy it.

We saw it last night and loved it. I wasn't interested until I saw it was the same writer/director as the Paddington movies. (And the writer has a similarly funny series of cameos in this one as he does in Paddington). It was genuinely funny, warm, and really smart.

Is this a prequel to the Gene Wilder or Tim Burton version?
