True and carefully considerate proponents of film - especially those informed of cinematic history, often thanks to Special Features - advocate for physical media. I'm a major advocate, and have been here since 1999, at creation of this one and only account. I also upgrade previously purchased material, such as the 2 disc upgraded release of Unforgiven, secured yesterday.

Yep. Top Gun: Maverick on 4K UHD is the most badass thing I've ever watched/listened to on my home system. I don't buy a ton, but for the right movie I'll still buy them

I think a lot of people are mistaking Best Buy's physical media removal as a death knell for physical media. It's not. Best Buy has been cutting down on movies/TV for YEARS. It doesn't mean people aren't buying discs. We're just not buying them from Best Buy anymore.

What do you guys still buy from Best Buy anyways? Outside of items my company will reimburse me for, I buy all my tech from other places now. It always seems like their markup is insane.
I bought two TVs there in 2020, and I guess when I'm ready to upgrade I'll go there again? I'm definitely not letting them mount them again, though, because they did a terrible job. I had to find a local guy to redo one, who did it way better. Otherwise, no clue why I'd ever set foot in there again. Maybe if I need printer ink and for some reason can't wait a day or two for Amazon?

This is who y'all have confused me for? I've been going more for Patrick Bateman at his gf's dinner party. This guy is more of a blend between after school special headliner and conspiracy theorist.
Bought a ton of stuff on Black Friday from Best Buy as they had some great prices if you joined their $50/yr membership program. So I joined, bought the gear, and have now cancelled it.
Saved probably $1500 over next cheapest options I could piece together.
