Finally airing tonight after a long delay due to the strikes.

Probably a given that Succession pretty much sweeps the major categories (Drama, Actor, Actress, Supporting Actor), but I think there is maybe an outside shot that they finally give Bob Odenkirk a long overdue Emmy for BCS.

It's a shame they've mostly ignored that show for its entire run.

That said, I would be very happy to see Kieran Culkin take it as well.

Haven't really seen any of the comedy ones, but I'm guessing The Bear has a good night.

I don't even think I voted this year. I still want my 75th Emmy's lapel pen though.

Guess I've been out of the loop. Had no idea Christina Applegate had MS.

Hope succession wins. My wife's cousin should get on stage if they do.

Absolutely ridiculous she was snubbed for the entire run of the show.

Also, God is this a huge improvement over the Golden Globes. No crappy, cringy monologue, and it's really clipping along.

I usually watch the Emmys, but between Eagles/Bucs, the Iowa Caucus, and this year's Emmys being awarded for the June 2022 to May 2023 window, it's hard not to let it fall to third banana. What's crazy is that tonight's winners for The Bear, for instance, are winning for season one - yet some of the very same actors have won Golden Globes and Critics' Choice Awards, in the past week, for season two. It'll be nice to have the Emmys back on schedule, this September, when they're for the June 2023 to May 2024 window.

I mean, watching live football is more interesting than an awards show. You can read the awards list on your phone while the game is on and see any highlights later.

I mean the same is true for football.

I'm burnt out on awards shows. Golden Globes last Sunday, then Critics' Choice last night, with all kinds of Oscar talk in between. A lot of the same series/faces throughout. Add to that the lack of immediacy of this year's Emmys + curiosity in Eagles/Bucs + curiosity as to whether there would be any surprises in the Iowa Caucus, and I'm just not as invested this go around. The Emmys simply don't feel as relevant when the same series/actors are winning awards for their latest seasons in other recent ceremonies as opposed to winning awards for episodes/seasons that aired a year and a half ago. Just feels like old news.

Slightly disappointed Peters didn't win for Dahmer, although I really liked Beef.
