How had i not heard of this crazy incident? I normally don't care for documentaries but I thought it was well done. I hesitate to post more for fear of giving away the story.

Is this the one about Chris and Shannan Watts?
Edit To Add: My bad that one was American Murderer: The Family Next Door -- also good if you've never seen it.
These true crime doc series are kind of in my "Q-Zone"

American Nightmare was an incredibly popular and influential hardcore band in the early 00s. Their singer wes was missing a hand.
Anyways my wife messaged me about this last night and is sucked in so I imagine I will be watching it in the near future.

I wish they could've explained the connection to the ex-fiance a little more - both with respect to the perp and the FBI agent
IMO, this was a very important element of the story and they barely scratched the surface on it. And another piece of evidence supporting the incompetence of the FBI investigation. Again, IMO, the one weakness of the series but I still enjoyed it.Some Junkie Cosmonaut said:DG-Ag said:

Yeah that was weird. The ex was the actual target and she was, or did, date the FBI agent involved?
Show is over…all's well that ends well. Nothing to see here!
I was thinking the same thing- I guess if you aren't in California in 2015 maybe it was the Trump/Clinton election that was knocking it out of the newsP.H. Dexippus said:

I would think that now 8 years later with Artificial intelligence and 'big data'Proposition Joe said:
So those in law enforcement that would be in the know -- is there not some widely used keyword database?
I guess it would be at the mercy of the individual departments actually inputting their data, but I certainly feel like there should/is a database that exists where one could query 'swim goggles california sexual assault' for the last 10 years and it would spit out the small number of cases that exist with those keywords.
