It's tough to pick one and can't argue with any mentioned already.
I liked the Sammy led version better for sure and still see him in concert when I can.

DLR: Panama, Ain't Talkin Bout Love, Dance the Night Away
Hagar: Top of the World, When It's Love, Dreams

Top of the World is probably my favorite song Sammy and the Circle play live currently. (Not including his solo hits of course).

Intruder...wish it had been longer than an intro to "Pretty Woman", because it has a "gimme a couple of bazookas and let me go blow some **** up", ominous sound to it.

Always liked Jamie's Cryin' from their first album.

Make sure you've seen the video for Pretty Woman…before it gets removed.

Just watched. Yeah.

But it's so weird seeing them so much younger than I am now when I was a wee little kid when this song came out.

Ain't Talkin Bout Love is my favorite. Saw VH in 1981 as my first live rock concert. Still have the t-shirt (3/4 length sleeve) but it doesn't quite fit as it once did.

Man. That's surprising.

I can't stand Humans Being. Like "how did they sink to this level?" not understand it.

Same. I hate that effing song and I'm a huuuuge Sammy fan.

My favorite DLR era songs are Panama, I'll Wait, and Hot for Teacher.

Sammy: Dreams, Poundcake, Why Can't This Be Love

Unchained
I'll Wait

Unchained is Exhibit A of what made VH the greatest American rock band. Quintessential VH with Diamond Dave out front.

I remember when the Best of Album came out, and I absolutely love Me Wise Magic. Freshman year, I'm watching the MTV Awards and out pops the original Van Halen. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, and I thought they were getting back together only to be disappointed later in the year when it didn't come to fruition.

Van Halen favorites:
With Roth
Mean Street, Unchained, Feel Your Love Tonight, and I'll Wait.

Van Hagar
Seventh Seal and Poundcake
Big Al 1992

The old RC Slocum show used Right Now and Standing on Top of the World for its highlight reel of the past week's game and it was totally awesome.

That song was in the Power Rangers movie, which had a sneaky good soundtrack. Also introduced me to RHCP as a kid.

A lot to choose from....I'll go by album:

Van Halen: Ice Cream Man
VH2: Dance the Night Away
WaCF: Everybody Wants Some
Fair Warning: Unchained
Diver Down: Little Guitars
1984: Drop Dead Legs (I'll Wait a close second)
5150: 5150 (maybe my favorite VH song)
OU812: Cabo Wabo
For UCK: Poundcake

Kind of lost interest after this...

Probably this. Maybe Pretty Woman from Diver Down, but it depends on the day.

My favorite from Sammy solo is Where Eagles Fly.
From DLR solo is Yankee Rose

One of my favorite VH songs, I've never seen the video..... until today.

A Samurai, Cowboy, Tarzan & Napoleon-Era French soldier rescuing a bride to be trapped by dwarves was not what I thought would be featured in the video.

But I was wrong.

Ego and EVH being a grad A Ahole

Ruined what could have been an epic VH tour

Imagine Sammy And DLR alternating songs;covering their full catalogue

Michael Anthony was the back bone of every song

Man could have even done more than words

My #1: "Unchained"

Close second: "Mean Street"

1st time I saw VH was in 1984... "1984" tour at Dallas' Reunion Arena

Saw the "5150" tour w/ VH as the headliner at the '86 Texxas Jam at the Cotton Bowl.

Saw VH a couple more times after that.

I saw the 1984 tour in high school at the Frank Erwin Center. Badass.

Saw VH live in:

1982 at The Summit in Houston
5th row on the floor. Unbelievable show.

1984 at The Summit in Houston
Seats not as good but still a great show

1986 at The Summit in Houston
Great show. Sammy loves playing houston and they looked like they were having a blast! Their live version of "One Way To Rock" with Eddie cutting up all over the place and then the two of them playing the melody in harmony was killer!

1988 at Rice Stadium
Monsters Of Rock tour
Again, great show. The whole day was great although Dokken had some sound issues

Never saw them again after that. Considered it on the For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge tour but ended up not going

Glad to see "Dance the Night Away" get some love. Clear #1 for me. Opening hits just perfect.

Panama
Runnin' With the Devil
Why Can't This Be Love
Hot for Teacher
Top Jimmy

ETA: Only thing I would change would have been DLR instead of Sammy.

Nice call-out. If I had to just pick one VH album to hear the rest of my life, it would be Fair Warning. The whole thing is just so intense. EVH's direct response to the pop and covers of Diver Down.

Hard to be a direct response when Fair Warning was released before Diver Down.
