Some of his best vocals. I've seen him 3 times. He was recently on Howard Stern. Very interesting. Love Billy Joel

Could have done without Sterns' 15 minutes of his personal Top 5 Billy Joel songs, which were all pretty much deep cuts the average listener doesn't care about. That and the obligatory "How great was Cream, and Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker?" question.

All in all though, good interview. Billy always delivers and seems like a great guy.

I used to be a huge Stern fan but stopped listening years ago. The greatness of his interviews are because he doesn't have to take commercial breaks so they can talk for 1-2 hours uninterrupted so he tends to lure the interviewee into topics they'd never discuss anywhere else. I've heard so many people on his show make that exact comment later in interviews. Plus of course it's uncensored so they can speak freely. I think that helps to get them looser than in every other appearance. He definitely interrupts too much and always puts excessive focus on himself but you take the good with the bad.

Yea, I get it. Stern's interviews are definitely self-serving but I've come to expect it since he does have a huge ego. I was able to tune him out and listen to Joel.
