Between the UN, CIA, VP and POTUS, Bush went to the grave with more secrets that we can fathom.

Growing up in Dallas area in the 80s whenever we had company from out of town that was always one of the things they wanted to see was the book depository and the plaza.

That's where Kennedy finally got it through his head that we didn't want him in Dallas.

Look, I'm not fully endorsing this theory, but in the video it definitely seems as if the driver, while keeping his right hand on the steering wheel, turns his head toward Kennedy, and brings his left hand up to his right shoulder, the hand that would presumably be holding a silencer of some sort, pointing back Kennedy. Then, at that exact moment, Kennedy's head just so happens to cock back, away from the driver, as if struck by a bullet, and basically explodes. Granted, it's not remotely conclusive, I'm simply acknowledging that the movements, as blurry as they are, match up shocking well.
Kennedy was on the passenger side. In what world would the driver turn to shoot someone behind them to the right with his left hand, blasting himself in the face mind you with discharge from the barrel? Also between Connolly and his wife who were between Kennedy and the driver and neither reported anything remotely close to that? That makes no sense at all.

The best part about so many of the Kennedy conspiracy theories is just how stupid they are. Just 30-seconds of common sense is all that is needed to dispel most of them.

JFC, dude, I'm not saying it happened. I'm saying it's interesting, in the video, how when the driver turns, and puts his left hand to his right shoulder, it's perfectly timed to when Kennedy's head cocks back/explodes, away from the driver.

I also admitted how preposterous it was in a follow up post.

It's a message board.

We're just spitballing.

I forgot what it was like when the Kennedy "experts" come out of the woodwork to lecture everyone. There was a thread like this a couple years ago and it was insufferable.

CORRECT

also, it's not like 250 million Americans in 1963 were at the beach and no one cared that the President was just murdered during the height of the cold war.

there were literally THOUSANDS of law enforcement, DOD, DOJ, FBI agents as well as Congressional Committees that looked into this

but as with all things on the IPHONE and social media and streaming nowadays, there has to be some massive conspiracy that no one has ever thought of before and has been kept secret for 60 years with thousands of people all in on it!

You guys are taking an off-handed convo, in a thread about a completely different subject, WAY too seriously. Good lord.

"JFK's driver shot JFK" might be the weakest endorsement for a "conspiracy theory that is true" movie I can imagine.

Lyndon Larouche fingerprints all over this thing would be strike two.

Once again, for the cheap seats, it's a 30-second bit from a character who's hardly in the series comparatively. She has next to nothing to do with the main story/players, and her little JFK side story is basically irrelevant to the rest of the series. I shouldn't have even brought it up, and will sure as hell never mention JFK on this board again.

So, hopefully to get the thread back on track, I finally saw this, and I found it just as fascinating as others. In many ways, this is a documentary kin to Zodiac in that both perfectly describe the obsessed and murky nature of conspiracy theory thought. You can easily see how Christian gets lost in an opaque sea of half-truths told by psychopaths that all contain an enticing kernel of truth. Regardless of all the JFK side-quest stuff here, it's totally worth checking out.

There are a couple of nuts for sure, and plenty of wild, paranoid claims, but I was also surprised at how many legit receipts the show brings, in the form of highly suspect trial verdicts, historical news footage, documented murders, past cases, etc. Some shady, conspiratorial sh*t absolutely went down. There's no denying that. The question is how much it's all really connected, and how deep the rabbit hole actually goes.

Is the show all about one thing? Or does each episode cover one particular topic and then move on?
TCTTS

One thing. But the nature of the conspiracy is that the "Octopus" - the eight men thought to have comprised this clandestine group - had their "tentacles" in everything from politics to war to arms dealing to spy games to the drug trade, etc.

Meh, you find out at the end that it's not really a documentary on the actual Octopus murders but more so a cautionary tale on what consuming yourself with conspiracy theories can do to you psychologically.

That's not what you implied in your post, at all (at least not how I read it).

And I wasn't accusing you of being a conspiracy theorist, just pointing out how many of the so called conspiracies are foolish beyond belief.

Do you really consider that a "spoiler"? It was just my take on the overarching theme of the entire series. Plus, I thought this had now morphed into a "discussion" thread.

This documentary is really pretty good, very well made, and entertaining… well worth the watch. What's very silly is all the sidetracked negative commentary that derails this thread.

If you like well made and entertaining documentaries, regardless if you believe the conspiracy… then watch this.

Watched the first two episodes on a flight Monday. Ep 1 was good and I do actually remember this, I was in HS at the time. There is no question the DOJ screwed that guy and his software company. They should have just settled but didn't, hard to understand that. Do that and this whole "conspiracy" dies. All the "reasons" why the govt did what they did actually make a lot of sense, regardless of the ethics.

Then Ep 2. Absolute disaster. It's almost as is they had to pivot and make this a hit piece on Reagan. Oh, I'm sorry, Reagan was a little busy putting an end to the Cold War. Which he did. The tie ins to Reagan were weak sauce and hardly a conspiracy. That's the sh** it takes when you're the top of the mountain.

But then the rabbit hole and I hope everyone shook off the vapes for a moment on this. Weirdo, indigenous people organizer, who is sketchy AF, and clearly on some payroll of the CIA or NSA or shell organization for "reasons". And the other weirdo genius guy. So they set up ops on an Indian Res in CA under the guise of smoke shops, liquor stores (hello every other res in this country) and eventually a ****ty casino. All so "they" could test weapons in the desert without CA state law interfering. Uh, ok. And they keep showing drawings of the M1 Abrams tank and it's munitions. ok. So, uh, this is one of the biggest weapons systems in the history of the US military and they need clandestine testing on some obscure Indian res in CA? LMAO. Fully funder by Congress, major defense contractors, yet we need to do it this way. Get the F out. LOL. And then some ungodly collection of Central American Contra generals, CIA, US military, various other reprobates, get together to shoot guns with some Gen 1 and 2 night vision on same res? Again, LMAO. And zero collaboration at this point to any of that. None.

Ep 2 was just silly.

I'll watch the other two and I hope it gets better. They should have stuck with story they told in Ep 1 becaue part 2 is utterly laughable. And I say that as I guy that loves a good conspiracy.

For what it's worth, I didn't at all get the impression that the show itself fully endorses these claims. Instead, they're merely presenting Danny's theories/claims, as Christian tries to piece it all together. There's a big difference. No one's going after Reagan, presumably save for Danny, and he died 30+ years ago. As has already been spoiled, by the end there's very much a "Who knows how much of this is actually true?" vibe, with the sentiment that it's all just an endless, nonsensical rabbit hole not worth going down.

I took it as more of a piece on the overlap between criminal activities and the intelligence community, and the hall of mirrors it becomes when you try to unravel it.
