Sorry that wasn't intended as a spoiler.

Couple people in my theater actually left when the credits started.

Should be needless to say at this point, but it's worth staying for the full credits.

Theaters are going to learn some lessons from the marketing/merch for this movie, maybe. This was the first time I've ever seen a long line for concessions at my regular AMC. I'm surprised they aren't selling more merch/toys like Alamo or whatever.

Opening scene had me rolling.

I'd either forgotten, or never knew in the first place, that Reynolds had been trying to get a Deadpool movie made for at least 5 years before X-Men Origins: Wolverine was released. Crazy to realize that he's been attached, one way or another, to this character for 20 or more years.

This thing is going to be massive.

For comparison, according to the article…

- Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness did $36M in Thursday previews and went on to make $187.4M domestic over the three-day weekend.

- Avengers: Infinity War did $39M in Thursday previews and went on to make $257.6M domestic over the three-day weekend.

So this one could seemingly fall anywhere in between, though the R rating could potentially hinder its momentum in comparison to the PG-13 releases above. Either way, $200M+ is definitely in play, which would be absolutely insane…

And just to go back to this post from a week or two ago for someone asking if they need to have seen the first two, I will reiterate making sure you've seen the first two. Again, mainly because they are awesome, but you will miss a lot if you don't know his story. You can get by with not having seen a lot of the other movies (although the more you know, there is more payoff but it isn't necessary), but I think not having his history would really take a lot away from this one

Just saw it. It was fun and entertaining, but I'd definitely consider it a "good, but not great" entry. I think some of the critics' tweets that TCCTS posted on the last page were spot on.

I would add Logan to the list if you can, but agree on all the other ones being a bigger pay off but not must watches.
