Not sure if this has been asked but I was curious to hear who were some of your favorite made up bands from movies and tv. There's so many good ones. Some obvious such as Spinal Tap and the band from School of Rock.

There are two that stand out to me that I like. I love the Onders from "That thing you do"



My other favorite is Steel Dragon...Stand up and Shout!

Spinal Tap

The only problem with Spinal Tap is that they actually wrote, played and sang their own tunes. So in that since, they're a real band. Actually more of a real band than many "real bands" who also have fake names, and sing and play other people's music that they don't create…

I was about to say Sons of Thunder from Airheads, but that's really my all-time favorite band: Galactic Cowboys. They actually wrote and performed the song in that movie ("Don't Hate Me").
