Doesn't even compare to 1992 Dracula. Not even close.
Nor to the 1931 Dracula.

This was certainly a well made movie, but it just didn't land for me. No interest in watching it again.
Agreed. Really well made "meh".

Saw it today. Thought it was very good. Fantastic building dread and horror. Making the Count not just creepy but gross and kind of rotting was really smart. Top tier stuff, imo. Beautifully shot as well.

Jeers to the group of teenage girls that were in my theater and clearly not mature enough to handle this film, whose low-level chatter was off and on throughout.

Watched it this weekend on Peacock and I thought this movie was great. I really appreciate how much thought Eggers put into the story and the visuals to accompany it. In most modern movies the darkness really bothers me but it worked for this film, it wasn't black and white, but not full color either. I think the only times we got full color on screen were indoors but at night so the movie was just permeated with darkness in all the shots. Even outdoor daytime shots there was fog or something keeping the sunlight out. I thought the creature design was solid, an old man who you couldn't tell how old he was, so old he's decayed, yet still physically large and intimidating. I appreciated how he arrives in London and basically brings the plague with him, just really hammering home what kind of presence Nosferatu was. All the acting was great but Lily-Rose Depp was awesome, if they cast that part wrong the whole movie could have fallen apart. I thought Dafoe was having the most fun, he was probably my favorite character.

Highly recommend if you haven't seen it yet.

I felt the exact same way about the Vvitch.

Finally got around to watching. I think someone said it well earlier, technically it is very well done. A master class in cinematography, setting, mood, and period capture. Bit felt it came up short on entertaining and engaging the chill factor. Great to look at, but hard to get excited over. Have zero desire to watch again.
