Thank you all for the Grisham recommendations. I'm going to the library after work today to do some browsing. (Yes, I still old-school and check out paper books, but think I'm going to ask Santa for a Kindle finally. Lol.)

I read 99% of my books on my phone. I can always read.

Wow - I guess I need to do this so I can get more reading done. Do you just use the Kindle app on your phone? I guess I have always assumed the pages would be too small on my phone. (Yes, I'm a bit old school when it comes to books.)

I was diehard old school until I got a kindle. Absolutely love it and would never go back. My whole library in one place. Paper white does make a huge eye strain difference, but I will read on the app on my phone sometimes. Integration with audible is great. Prices are better for the most part.

Yep. I do Libby which I can check out ebooks for reading from libraries.

I can also listen to audible books on Libby and Spotify.

I only buy books from a couple of authors I'm ok supporting.

I have pretty big font too since I'm in my 50s.

Thanks for sharing these details! I definitely need to see about getting a Kindle. I can see the benefit of being able to read anywhere and not have to pack a book around all over the place in order to be able to. I was wondering about the eye strain as well. I have actually been considering a Kindle for a while and others in this thread recommended it earlier this year as well. I appreciate it.

Thanks for the page sample. That's definitely big enough font size. (I am also in my 50s.) Maybe I really don't need to buy a Kindle and can just use my phone with the Kindle app as you are doing. This helps a lot. Thanks a lot for the information!

Holy cow, how did I miss all of this discussion on both Kindle and Grisham? I don't remember when I read the last one of his, but there weren't any bad ones. Some just aren't as good as others. One book still stands out, The Chamber. If you aren't familiar with the story, it's about a Klansman on death row for a bombing he didn't commit. His grandson tries to get his sentence overturned while the inmate doesn't want him to do it. It truly changed my mind on the death penalty due to the writing. It is a very depressing story.

As far as ebooks, I've written before how much I love having an electronic library. I use my phone, my IPad and my Kindle to read on, depending on where I am. I read all the time, and almost never read paper books any longer.

Are Orphan X books similar to John Rain books by Barry Eisler? I love those.

Setting to a black background/night mode on the app helps with eye strain as well.
