lol this thread reads like satire. i was hoping to get an idea on whether this was worth checking out, and to be fair there were a handful of posts helpful in that regard. but holy s-, forget about what the internet is doing to kids, i'm worried about what it's doing to some of you. if you find yourself actually angered by the fact that a non documentary fictional story that took inspiration from multiple incidents didn't specifically feature a killer that was black like one of the real events, maybe it's time to log off twitter for a bit. last i checked, writers are still allowed to be inspired by something when creating a story while still having the freedom to write their, again, FICTIONAL story however they please. getting upset about this really feels like we're setting reason aside bc we want to be mad.
i did get a good laugh out of the comments about white males being the most discriminated group until i realized it wasn't supposed to be a joke. are we counting killers in fiction being white as discrimination now? i guess i was just one of the lucky white males to thus far have all that rampant discrimination miss me. i just want to reiterate that its not just children being negatively impacted by the internet and social media. i miss the pre social media days when people would be too embarrassed to make claims like that out loud in public
life is too short to be this angry and paranoid all the time
White males ARE by far the most discriminated against and demonized group in society. How did you not know that? LOL
Gen Z white males also have more legitimate grievances than any other demographic group in modern times. They are actively discriminated against, and basically often taught/told that they are the root of all the world's problems. Asians are being discriminated against too in school admissions and the work force, but no one is being demonized like white males. Not even close. Imagine black women getting stabbed in the neck by white men on the train. Imagine how f-ing different the response and coverage would be.
This movie isn't an example of discrimination, just another case of being overly PC and framing false political/societal narratives, like the left always does. This was never going to be about a black or Muslim murderous psychopath. It just wasn't. Even though that is MUCH more in line with reality and actual statistics.
