Wings was super underrated too

I rewatched the first five seasons or so on Netflix 2-3 years ago. My son watched a bit and said "how can they make a sitcom about people sitting around in a bar talking?"
It's not a bad question.
But they did it very successfully.

George Wendt on with Jason Alexander - arguably the 2 greatest NBC sitcom actors of all-time, together on Seinfeld from Season 4
At the time Thursday on NBC was a rerun of Cheers at 7 for its final season, Wings at 730, Cheers at 8, Seinfeld at 830, and LA Law at 9.
That was the all-timer. My mom made us stop after Cheers, but if she was on the phone or doing something else, my dad let us roll at least to the first commercial break of Hill Street Blues. Pretty sure I could fall asleep today to the Hill Street Blues theme song because it was the last thing I heard before bed for years on Thursdays as a child.Iowaggie said:The Original Houston 1836 said:

I remember early on, it was Cosby, Family Ties, Cheers, Night Court, and then Hill Street Blues.
I had such conflict because at the same time on Thursday, I also loved Magnum PI and Simon and Simon on CBS.
My memory was some combos of Cosby, Cheers, Seinfeld and then Friends were part of NBCs lineup on Thursday for a long time. (Frasier, A different world, mad about you, wings, night Court, and many I'm forgetting about).
