This show came out in 2022, and was cancelled in January of 2023.
Source that is is being promoted to kids actively on "@ Netflix kids"? A thing I don't think exists.

Don't let any media producer dictate what your kids watch, monitor what your own kids watch. I sure do.

This. Don't be an absentee parent. If a show like this is showing up in queue after another movie/show, that kind of sucks as a parent, but you still shouldn't be just letting your young kids sit in front of the TV and watch whatever comes on.

It really isn't that hard. I didn't have an iPad growing up, if I have kids, they won't have an iPad. If they have to have any device for school purposes, that device would remain in the family room.

ETA: This is not egregious enough for me to want to cancel Netflix. However, i can understand if it is for someone like Elon, based on what happened to his son.

Yes. Some people are lazy parents. The world is filled with horrible kids, and that's a direct effect of poor parenting. Probability says there are plenty of ****ty parents who post on TexAgs.

It's not complicated, not sitting your kid in front of a TV for hours to babysit all the time, or not handing them an iPad. I guess I was just raised differently from you. It is not incumbent on the parent to entertain the kids 100% of the time and they don't need to be staring at screens the entire time. There are still a countless number of things kids can do with free time.

If I had a dollar for every lazy parent like you who always says exactly what you posted... yet I know many couples with kids who don't do this. I'm not talking about sailing solo around the world. I'm talking about doing the bare minimum as a parent. Parenting isn't easy, get over it.

hate to tell you, but your kid watching that isn't gonna suddenly become trans.

And as mentioned, if you don't want your kids watching it, don't let them watch it. And yes, I have kids. And yes, I've made them stop watching and/or banned many shows in our house. Mostly b/c they are brainrot BS.

Truly... rational human beings have no way to determine the type of person they are or think about how they were raised so they can replicate what they think is right and change what they didn't like about their upbringing. People are incapable of maintaining their worldviews when they have kids...

Where does this line of reasoning end? If I say: "When I have kids, It will be a rule in our household that they will clean their rooms and make their beds", then I am just fooling myself? Are you telling me that, when I have kids, I won't require them to do the things I believe all kids should do? Are you telling me that every single decision you have made as a parent, you would have NEVER made that decision previously, but now that you are this magical parent, you will now make the right decisions.

The argument I will concede to parents is when they say you don't truly know how to love another human being in that way, until you have a child. I fully get the reasoning behind this statement. But when i truly believe, to my very core, that putting an iPad in a kid's hands for hours just to entertain them is horrible for their development and mental health, then explain how me learning to love like i never have before would lead me to deciding to let them do what I think will ultimately be a net negative for their lives.

People with kids need to chill out with this idea that they are so special. You are not. Billions of people before you have had kids. Billions of people after you will have kids.

I look forward to hearing about how it goes after sleepless night #4 when you need to just fold laundry for 15 minutes and a kid is suctioned to your leg and you also need to make dinner and didn't shower yesterday.

Everyone thinks they know differently till they don't. There's a reason "wait till you have kids" has been a recurring idea in parenting for decades, just evolving to whatever the next thing is (tv, video games, tech, etc.).

And yet... neither I, nor my siblings, were ever allowed to simply consume any form of media for any length of time we wanted. I didn't grow up watching the same movie on repeat, in the living room, annoying my parents to death. Why didn't I? Because my parents believed it was not good for me, so they limited my screen time in the 90's. This included TV and my Gameboy (I didn't have any other console at my mom's house).

How in the world did we survive? How in the world did my mom make it to 63!? There is apparently no way to raise kids without hours of screen time, daily! Every single kid in this country, without exception, is spending hours a day, looking at a screen!

I'm not saying it's not exhausting. I'm not saying sometimes you would probably rather be doing something else. But I don't buy that I would be the type of parent who would put their kid in front of a screen, for hours. I also wouldn't give my kids cigarettes. If they beg and cry for a cigarette, are you saying i would give it to them? Hey, it would give me 10-15 minutes to go fold laundry while they're outside, having a smoke.

This thread provides value. Cant always monitor every deviant-inspired tv program that these weirdos put out.

The only reason Netflix is still an option for me is because it's free from T-Mobile.

If you would take a second to step off your soap box, you would realize the joke is we all said the same things before we had kids. You're right, raising kids is not that hard. But raising kids, having a full time job, maintaining a home, being a part of your community, maintaining friendships, possibly taking care of an elderly parent, is incredibly hard.

Kids need boundaries, but relaxing those boundaries every now and then isn't going to ruin them. So relax, enjoy life, like you said, it's not that hard. Oh, and 20 seconds of some random show they watch is not going to "turn" them gay.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Exactly.

Some things we've stood our ground on. No electronics at dinner or at restaurants. This is a non-negotiable. The kids have tablets, but they are only allowed on road trips or on planes. However, my 4 year old screamed her head off today for 30 solid minutes wanting tv. I had no calls for work so I let her cry it out. My wife leaves town tomorrow, so the kid will get tv if I have calls/meetings. And sometimes, you are just exhausted and say f-it and let the kids have what they want. Gotta choose your battles.

it's a 3 year old show… maybe it's just way down the list? Or maybe have to search?

What are y'all arguing about? The childless poster said parents are lazy and shouldn't park their kids in front of the TV for hours or give them an iPad all the time.

Are you arguing against the statement that it is bad parenting to let your kid watch hours of TV every day? I have kids, and we don't let them veg out in front of a TV for multiple hours. They watch some TV, but not for hours every day. Zero iPad time as well. If you do those, then yes, you are a lazy parent.
