Eli Manning did a video of him as a walk on player and they turned that into a series about his character Chad Powers. Glenn Powell plays Chad and it is pretty damn funny. Im into 2 episodes and have chuckled the whole way through.

Anyone else check it out yet?

I went into this thinking it was going to be so bad based on the trailer, but it's actually pretty funny and not the worst. I'll keep with it for now.

Mentioned this on the tv trailer thread, I watched the first two eps on a whim and was pleasantly surprised.

I like that they've set him up as genuinely terrible human from the jump, and the supporting cast is really fun so far (the other qb cracks me up). The Chad Powers persona is so random and weird that it makes for some entertaining moments, I've loled a couple times so far.

Didn't have high hopes but I'm in to see where it goes, just hoping they don't try to tie up his redemption arc too neatly.

They did something similar with a Jason Sudeikis commercial where he was accidentally hired by the Tottenham Hotspurs. It ended up with a 90%+ RT score, won like 40 Emmys and was one of the most watch shows out there.

We were at the UGA vs Miss St game in Athens last year when they filmed a portion during halftime. They had Chad Powers team walk out of the tunnel and wanted the fans to "boo" loudly. It took about 4 takes

That's one of the things that cracks me up. He's being the exact opposite of the ***** he normally is. That voice and the random backward hick sayings he says make me laugh.

This also was something in the previews that irked me, but watching the show it's much more comical and not as irritating

Watched the first episode. I surprisingly like it.

Glen Powell modeled the character after Johnny Manziel.

Watched the first two episodes tonight. Enjoyed it. Did not know he purposely modeled the character's style of play after Johnny, but certainly saw it in him as well as wearing #2.

We are enjoying it. Very light hearted especially after watching Task and Black Rabbit. And there is a lot modeled after Johnny - the tatts, the clubs, the jewelry, the high school awards.

Very unfortunate for the actress that plays Rickie - coach's daughter. This should be her moment to shine with a good part in a hit tv show but her husband has taken a bit of the spotlight away. She's married to the recently arrested for several felonies, Mark Sanchez.

This show is great! Loving every single character. Except maybe for the offensive coordinator. He's kind of lame. I even find the mascot funny at times along with the female AD. But the character Chad Powers is hilarious!

It's a lot like some of the movies that were based on SNL skits back in the 90s. They take a funny skit and try to flesh it out into a full length movie or show and the result is silly but good enough for some laughs. Think " A Night at the Roxbury" as an example

Loved Ted Lasso. Maybe chuckled once or twice at "Chad" but pretty much meh for me. Different strokes...
