And as if in answer there came from far away another note.
Horns, horns, horns, in dark Mindolluin's sides they dimly echoed.
Great horns of the north wildly blowing.
Rohan had come at last."

Who among us hasn't wished for a retelling of LOTR from Gollums point of view? Like Wicked but in Middle Earth!

Don't get me wrong, Serkis did a great job bring Gollum to life. But most of the scenes with Gollum in them grate on my nerves and make me feel extremely uneasy in a primal sense.
I cannot imagine watching a whole movie about him.
But as the title implies it's the "hunt for gollum"; is it based on the plot of this fan fiction tilm?

Hobbit, goes to Dale, somehow finds out that Bilbo has returned to the Shire, somehow winds up headed to Mordor, encounters Shelob, then gets hunted by Aragorn, taken to Mirkwood, questioned by Gandalf, and then escapes and heads for Moria to track the Fellowship.
When is it that he gets grabbed by the orcs and interrogated in Minas Morgol (or just random place in Mordor)?

Ya I dunno about a movie for that. The show is good some weeks and better horrible other weeks.
Will agree that Sauron and "Gandalf" character are the strongest points.

For me, FOTR is better than the other 2 combined. Everything in The Shire is such a gorgeous love letter to the world Tolkien created. Ditto the 2 statues on the river. PJ really takes his time to show the wonder of Middle Earth. They don't make'em like that anymore.
