I was at the bookstore today and picked up a new hardcover edition of the Dragonlance Chronicles with a forward by Joe Manganiello (the actor - werewolf in True Blood).
Pretty random but apparently he's a massive fan of DC and has been trying to get Dragonlance made into movies for several years. He's come close a few times, but timing and circumstance have blocked him. He's written a treatment / screen play which he said has gotten rave reviews by those in Hollywood who have read it, so he thinks it's just a matter of time before it gets made.
That would be pretty kickass. Along with LOTR, Dragonlance was the other big fantasy series I fell in love with as a kid and have read all of the books. I almost bought it but I still have all of my original paperbacks and I like the artwork they had.
