I had read the book before the miniseries aired so I knew what was coming. I watched the original airing in January 1989 with my parents and younger brother. There was not a dry eye afterwards and it still gets me EVERY SINGLE TIME.
I watched the original airing of LD as well, and was amazed at the faithfulness of the adaption and the perfect casting of Gus and Call.

Yep. Just like with Hackman, this one probably hits me the most.
Now I'm just hoping Tommy Lee Jones and Jeff Bridges are in good health. Old Clint can't be far off but that dude stays busy.
