In that vein, "Empty Glass" by Gary Stewart is haunting knowing his story.

Sawyer Brown "The Walk"
I first heard this song when I was 23 years old, seeing my father take that last walk with his dad. Over the years, I took that walk with my dad, and now he's been gone for a little over a year.
That song changes it's meaning to you over your lifetime.

aSGtE is one of my favorite albums. Use of funk elements and string arrangement is so good.

Not sure it completely fits here (although I think it does) but what about Willie's "Redheaded Stranger" album? Deep to me, I guess.

Possibly my all time favorite album. I love to listen from beginning to end while driving. When Just As I Am starts playing, man it just hits. And the at the end with Hands on the Wheel and you know that he's found happiness and lasting peace again. Just a beautiful story.

Hands On the Wheel and Remember Me have become my two favorites from that album.
