Joe Diffie had a string of hits in the '90s, many with a twist of humor.
But on his bluegrass album "Homecoming," he recorded this beautiful song about a man's memories of his childhood that come to mind while he is driving home. Without a doubt my favorite Joe Diffie song. Worth a listen if you like Diffie, like bluegrass or just want a good ol' emotional country song.
One of the hardest songs for me to listen to is "All these years" by Sawyer Brown. You're brought right in the middle of this broken marriage and it's so heartbreaking to hear the words they say to each other.
Love "The Walk", very emotional every time I hear it.
Breakers Roar by Sturgill Simpson.
And last "A thousand miles from nowhere" by Dwight Yoakum and "You're gonna miss me when I'm gone" Brooks and Dunn.
