Top Gun: Bob

The studio did not explicitly state whether Cruise will appear in the project, so it's possible that he may only be involved in a producer capacity.

The training sequence where Mav goes rogue to show them it could be done is probably one of my favorite scenes in any movie ever.

I'm not surprised Cinco is going to see it opening day and I hope he enjoys it as well.

It's so hard to top what they did with TG Maverick, especially the ode to the original with the opening credits, flashbacks, and references.
But if Cruise is on board with the storyline, I'm in.
I hope they continue the tradition of opening on an aircraft carrier with the original score.

Would love to see them up the ante where there is a real war going on, even if the opponent is using drones/AI fighters, and Maverick is an actual squadron commander. have them all flying off the aircraft carrier USS Thomas Kazansky 5-10 years in the future. Have Rooster and Hangman in a love triangle with fine-ass Phoenix, then she dies and they have to repair the friendship,
And how about some justice for my boy Manny Jacinto (BORTLES!) who got absolutely shredded for Maverick and then completely cut minus 2 or 3 long distance background shots.

Legitimately the only thing that disappointed me in Maverick was unmet expectations of Jason Mendoza screen time.

Nervous about the fact it's not going to be Kosinski.
But I did think that the younger generation was built out well enough to carry another movie.

Maverick was ok. Not really rewatchable. Not something I'd stop for while having free time (what's that?) to catch anything on TV - which is all garbage these days. Nor is it something I'd hunt for on a streaming platform.
Maybe Tom is looking to compete with lead actors that chose franchise success (Harrison Ford, Samuel L, Sly) over Oscar-winning, meaningful roles. He's made a bajillion dollars and is a fan favorite for some. And he's in great company. No knocks there.
I guess I just grew outta the whole "actor worship" phase of life and am not impressed by meaningless stuff that has no bearing on my own successes and failures.
Who star'd this? WHO! STAR'D! THIS!
I think Mega Lops and LM Cane are the same person.

They should leave it alone. I was excited about Top Gun 2 but this installment has a high likelihood of crashing and burning. Let it go Tom!
