Ok funny enough.

Saw a patient today who was wearing an OJ didn't do it shirt.

Yes, he was a pedophile. It's weird how much benefit of the doubt his stardom gets him. If some random guy from your town acted and spoke like MJ, and got as many minor boys as possible to sleep in his bed, y'all wouldn't be trying to solve a riddle about what his motives were.

But, I'll raise again my point from the other thread, which is that MJ's actions were just a prolific and high-profile version of the same stuff that happens in the entertainment and arts world on a daily basis. If you had a 10 year old son with acting or music chops that you wanted to get some big opportunities in stage, tv, or film roles, if you weren't extremely careful, his chance of being preyed upon by an older man would be damn near certain.

I had a chance to talk to Tom Sneddon, who I had gotten to know in the early 90s before the MJ case. He was the DA.

There is no doubt in my mind that MJ was one sick dude who benefited greatly from celebrity status.

Yeah a grown adult that had no problem admitting that he sleeps in the same bed with children that aren't his makes me lean heavily in towards guilt.

I have worked with a director many times who is good friends with Corey Feldman and I have spent some time around him. Feldman is a strange dude but swears up and down MJ never did anything to him.

Corey Feldman has publicly stated that when he was 13 or 14, Michael Jackson showed him a book containing pictures of venereal diseases and genitalia.

Corey has also speculated that Michael was grooming him and that while he was never touched by Michael he experienced the same pattern of behavior/gifts as some of Michael's alleged victims.

All celebrities should be avoided and be observed from afar like zoo animals. The more famous they are the farther the observable distance.

I forgot all about this banger. And watching him with his shirt wide open with paler skin than this pasty guy with Irish blood typing right now while he's singing about Martin Luther King Jr is wild.

MJ has to be the most complicated/bizarre celebrity story from start to finish of any of our lifetimes out of 8 billion people on the planet that I can think of.

HIStory had some bangers on it. I always dug "Stranger in Moscow"

This guy did a very recent look at MJ.

I thought it was well done and brought some things to light that I had never heard.

BTW, the guy covers a whole lot of really good topics if you've never watched his videos. Former investigative journalist, iirc.

This was fantastic and sums up everything chatted about above

55% of America thinks he's innocent
45% of America think he's guilty

Whichever documentary you watch, helps validate your perspective

The courts said he was innocent - and there was never any actual proof he did sexual acts with these kids - only circumstancial evidence that he is weird and inappropriate - none of which is criminal

You also have to also admit that the accusers had financial motivations, and no hard evidence

And he also might actually be guilty

Jackson was smart enough to know not to mess with the famous ones.

I've been listening to a podcast on Jimmy Savile and the did something very similar. He used to invite lots of young girls (and boys) to his hotel rooms, parties, apartment, etc. and did nothing with them. He was very selective with his victims and having lots of kids/teens/adults talk about how nothing happened helped him hide his decades long history of abuse.

Yes, that's very typical for these predators. They find a way to get close to a lot of kids, but they are only looking to cull the very few that are most vulnerable and controllable.

I'll post the same response to this video as I did in the other thread...

Quote:

Just watched the video and it's fair enough. Very level-headed/makes some good points.

Still, believing that Jackson is most likely innocent because *some* accusers potentially - or even likely - had ulterior motives fails to account for the bigger picture.

Simply put, the chances of a grown man in his 30/40s NOT being a pedophile, who, on camera/on the record…

- Collected, framed, and displayed pictures of little boys (this is well documented, and I'm not even talking sexual images, though there are of course those rumors as well)…

- Infamously hung out with/played with/traveled with multiple little boys, at times in unsupervised, one-one-one scenarios…

- Groomed not just the boys, but their families as well (again, I'm not even talking sexually, only what we know on camera/record of him manipulating the boys/families through fame, showering of gifts/trips, encouraging a lack of adult supervisions at times, etc)…

- Publicly, on camera, not just admitting to sleeping in the same bed/bedroom as multiple boys, but defending/promoting it…

… are so astronomically low that it becomes willfully ignorant to believe in his innocence.

People can analyze/pick apart each individual accuser's story six ways to Sunday, point to the supposed fact that the famous (at the time) boys weren't sexually abused (just because he apparently showed restraint with them means nothing), and can rationalize all they want that Jackson was merely/innocently trying to reclaim the childhood he was robbed of by his abusive father. But when you truly take a step back, and objectively look at the entirety of what is on camera for the world to see, I would argue that it's morally irresponsible to give Jackson the benefit of the doubt. I would even go so far as to say that defending Jackson against these odds helps perpetuate pedophelia in general. I'm not at all saying that's what you're doing. Obviously not. It's just that I genuinely believe one has a moral responsibility to take off the rose-colored glasses, look past their nostalgia/love of his music, and admit that the chances are no where near 60/40 that he didn't do it.

What would be the smoking gun that would convince you?

People are CONVINCED of so many other things with WAY less evidence, but for some reason with MJ, despite all the concrete and verifiable evidence of him behaving very much like a predator, people want MORE evidence. Keep in mind, the victims are children, so their testimony is going to be very shaky, and also making them testify is akin to victimizing them all over again and cruel. As stated, the parents are clearly terrible for even putting their kids in these situations. Were they groomed or were they seeking proximity to fame or something else? Probably. So then when they decide to speak out about whats really going on, they already don't have solid ground to stand on and can be discredited, which is apart of the grooming process!

Really, what evidence would be enough?

nosoupforyou

That's actually the best question that needs an answer

I just haven't seen proof that involved him or the boys being naked together

That's the end game for him if there was anything physically sexual with these kids

Everything I've seen has been inappropriate and weird - but I haven't seen evidence of any sexual contact

Proof that he showed them pornography would be good to see. Thats very bad because that likely led to something more

And as far as I can tell that proof is not available

Do child sex abusers typically openly hang out almost exclusively with children and let the world know it? Most of them try to hide it right? I could see it either way with MJ, he was so screwed up from his childhood that not much makes sense to any rational adult male.

I've never seen that article and it's pretty strong evidence to have fingerprints of those boys on that pron magazine

What happened the following week during additional testimony? It was mentioned in the article.

Also… Why was he innocent of these charges after that proof was given? That seems strange

That article changes a lot for me

Yeah, Sandusky did similar. He was around kids all the time to give him that "trusted" image, but was selective with who he victimized.
