Yeah, you'll forgive me if I call Boy Scout. Literally no one quotes this when justifying their positions, and it's not taught in history in public schools as a foundational or fundamental idea. The United States has never defined citizenship or belonging by blood or culture above all else. For good reason. Yes, Mamdani is absolutely an American. He doesn't have to pass your political litmus test to be one.
