Russian hybrid warfare is far reaching. Iirc, F16 has a few posters that have shown to be big fans of "Big Serge" and posted quite a bit of his material in past years. Long thread past just what I've posted.

Who else remembers that for months or years a Texags poster would post a series of pro-Putin tweets every day around 5 AM.

He's still here. Funny how the "different perspective" thread has effectively vanished.

There are quite a few of the pro-Putin posters that seem strangely silent after 5pm. Almost like they go home from their job and quit engaging on social media. Once could even wonder if social media engagement was their paid occupation if one were cynical enough.

For the 5,000th time, Russia will not use a nuke. It has way, way, way more to lose if it does that.

I tend to agree. However, Putin & his military aren't rational. Could you clarify what more could they lose. Are you implying there would be a nuclear response against Russia?

NATO/Western conventional retaliation: …,,,
No guaranteed military victory: …,,,
Global pariah status: …,,,
Loss of neutral or sympathetic voices: …,,,
Regime stability: ,,,…
  • Supercharged sanctions: ,,,…
  • Trade collapse: ,,,…
  • Long-term stagnation: ,,,…
  • Undermining its own nuclear deterrent value: ,,,…
  • Strengthened NATO and Western unity:,,,…
  • Environmental and humanitarian blowback: ,,,…

  • Thanks for the comprehensive response, much appreciated.

Something tells me Russia is just going to continue dropping ballistics on Kyiv until most of the civilian population is dead or displaced.

I mean we can only do so much …. The EU needs to step up and help thy neighbors. We can't supply the world w military products to fix all their problems. We have a limit and it seems we have past that limit at this time

And at some point hopefully Ukraine can produce their own. I know I've read some on this happening.

The bigger problem is that production of a lot of this stuff runs at a relative snails pace and takes years to replace. Nobody, including us, has any to spare after the last few months and production capacity can't keep up with war-time burn rate.

Russia does not have the ability to bomb Ukraine Into submission or mount a robust ground offensive without help from Belarus and probably China for guns ammo tanks etcetera.

Hopefully Xi and Belarus stay out of it because Russia can still kill a fair number of civilians but they can't force the Ukes to surrender without help

Russia has shown us the limits on their capabilities

Ukraines best option is to keep hammering missle and drone production. Plus anything they need to supply, such as chip manufacturers.

And this hammers home the issue with NATO natuons not spending enough on defense. They do not have the ability to produce anti missle capability. As said above the US cant be the sole provider of this type of weaponry.

They can't beat them militarily but they can continue to decimate civilians in an attempt to break their will. There's no shortage of villages, towns, and cities that they've reduced to rubble over the past 4 years. And they've shown that, absent the ability to establish strategic military gains, they'll just take it out on civilians. There's no other purpose to lobbing dozens of Iskanders into the center of Kyiv.

I agree Putin is a war criminal with no exit strategy and has resorted to killing civilians to make it look like he is not losing this war

Seems dumb in this case. When a country is invaded, with the intent by the aggressor nation to wipe you off the map, the will approaches infinity. Especially when you start murdering civilians on purpose.

At some point Ukraine will have had enough and it will turn to a tooth for a tooth… at that point Putin is probably done, this may be closer than we think. There are plenty of unprotected nice high rises in Moscow and St Petersburg…. **** will get serious real dam quick if / when that happens

With the fuel shortage some type of food shortage will be following behind it.

Ukraine won't deliberately target residential buildings unless there is a high ranking official living there. They will however turn off the heat and power this next winter.

Ukraine needs to start dropping some drones in the middle of some of those Moscow squares… Russian public will come unglued, even if not targeting the public, do it at night when they are empty. More of a fear spreader type target

That's better done by cutting off their lights, gas and food. The Russian people will blame Putin then
