Without a doubt, Trump either failed to recognize the potential for mob violence and therefore, did nothing to prevent it, OR he knew what he was doing and didn't care.

Either way, it's his leadership failure to own, but I don't agree with allowing him to be sued for it.
Wrong. On information he had at the time, he offered National Guard to both Nancy Pelosi and the head of the Capital Police. Nancy Pelosi turned the offer down.
Among the latter, under pretence of governing they have divided their nations into two classes, wolves and sheep.”

Doesn't the FACT that there were Feds involved with the "rioters" make lawsuits against President Trump, FRIVOLOUS?

Still wondering what Ray Epps is doing.

Just wait! Once McCarthy is Speaker of the House and Jordan heads up Judiciary Commmittee, they will surely subpoena him and make him testify!
It has been 14 months. Surely they called Epps in to testify, right????

This is what a corrupt DOJ and dim party media machine look like...

It's exactly the bull**** dims pull when inviting the EPA to be sued over environmental issues so they can pay out awards to their own benefactors. A complete lack of honesty or integrity.

WASHINGTON (AP) Former President Donald Trump can be sued by injured Capitol Police officers and Democratic lawmakers over the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, the Justice Department said Thursday in a federal court case testing Trump's legal vulnerability for his speech before the riot.

In court papers, the Justice Department urged a federal appeals court in Washington to allow the lawsuits to move forward, writing that "no part of a President's official responsibilities includes the incitement of imminent private violence."

The Justice Department said it took no position on the lawsuits' claims that the former president's words incited the attack on the Capitol. Nevertheless, Justice Department lawyers said the court should reject Trump's argument that "absolutely immunity" shields him from being sued because the remarks were in line with his official duties.

Who in history has been gone after longer and harder than Trump?

We going on 8-years of them going full tilt after one guy. Crazy to think about.

Only analogy I can think of is where they exiled Napoleon to one one the most remote places in the world to live out his life on Saint Helena island off the coast of Africa.

When a **** post from a year and a half ago is today's headline.

Took two years for Trump to wisely lean into this Nepoleon deal.

In any event, looking back at all this, the failing MSM sure seem shocked that Trump is has reservations about of the 'rule of law' as set by some compromised district judge.

Trump somehow hoists 'em by their own petard ... again.

Wild times.
