Exactly. Then if Trump tries to close the border, the media will be screeching about how he's breaking the law and literally Hitler.

He can do it. Border security and law enforcement is part of the executive branch duties. Further, there are already laws that state what is happening is illegal and also I believe asylum laws that are more stringent about who can claim asylum and under what conditions. None of that existing legislation is being enforced.

The truth is he doesn't want to. He's doing one of the following, and maybe both:

• Acting like its important and he's only trying to do something to pay it lip service in an election year because he knows its a major black eye on his re-election campaign.
• Looking for a court to strike it down to "purposely lose" so that he can say he tried and perhaps set a court precedent that might hogtie Trump if he wins so that the Democrat plan for destroying this country by importing dregs can continue.

that math works out.. but that's only 50 miles and the border is nearly 2,000 miles.

I think we should stop handing out free stuff to migrants as an incentive to caravan over here by the millions. Our government is already nearly $35 trillion in debt and more than half of their existing citizens are already poor and government-dependent and don't pay taxes to help fund the government. We shouldn't have that much free stuff to give and for what? What do we get out of it? Besides socialists getting votes? Who else benefits?

I think our greedy power grubbing politicians who need a free-handout welfare state populous to vote for socialism so they can stay in power should stop talking about a "path to amnesty" for the 20-40 million illegals that were already here because it's obviously an incentive and an invitation for millions more to caravan their asses over here.

I think anyone who claims "asylum" should have their cases investigated before they're let in here. You know, like the "remain in Mexico" policy. A real asylum claim should be for limited qualifying refugees fleeing war-torn lands and / or facing execution or prison for political persecution. Being poor and wanting free stuff isn't a valid asylum claim. Further, a remain in Mexico policy incentivizes Mexico to protect their southern border with Guatemala from the caravans instead of welcoming the millions of passersby. Anyone can provide a fake name and ID, get in here unvetted for the free stuff, and not show up in a few years for their asylum claim hearing, which is why Biden admin doing this can only have nefarious intentions. They hate their citizens.

I think a high tech wall with a well-funded border patrol with the drones and equipment to quickly find and apprehend anyone attempting to cross the border outside of our legal ports of entry should be put in place because half the world hates us infidels and screams "death to America" any chance they get and it shouldn't be so easy to waltz on in here.

I'm pretty sure democrats hate this country and only aim to destroy it.

So he announces he is doing X, Y, and Z to "close the border". Immediately the pre-written lawsuits are filed with the hand-picked friendly judges. The judges hand down injunctions stopping Biden from doing X, Y, and Z. Biden throws up his hands and says "I tried! I did everything I legally believed to have in my power to close the border!" Gullible LIVs lap it all up like they do all the other lies and vote for peepaw again because no more mean tweets.
