Honestly don't remember - how did she do in her debate with Pence?

I mean, I know her policy positions suck, but for whatever reason that doesn't seem to matter to the majority of voters.

I wasn't there but all the "hippies" that I know were hippies back in their hey day only cared about their own well being and wrapped themselves in whatever was convenient to make excuses for their own selfish desires. It was never public service.

At the risk of overgeneralizing, a good number of them were anti-American Commies who were too lazy to set goals or direction for their own lives. Some pretended to be intellectuals but they were really going where the left was leading them just like now.

A fair number of them grew up and grew out of it.

I saw it thru the eyes of a younger brother observing some of my older sister's bull**** friends. She's 9 yrs older than me. I was just a kid but I remember thinking.... what's wrong with some of these people ? Most of them weren't all that bad but there were a few that were ... decidedly anti-establishment ... to try to put it nicely.

Wouldn't be surprised if Kamala refuses to debate Trump, with some lame excuse about it being pointless to debate a habitual liar. Dems have to know putting her on a debate stage, or public speaking of any kind, is fraught with peril. Their best bet is to repeat 2020 and limit live public speaking engagements and have a tight, controlled media presence, and let the MSM carry the torch for her.

MSM is already fawning over her talking about how amazing she is after one appearance.

They created a machine. So long as you know the buzzwords, talk the talk, completely buy in, and attack those who disagree, you are praised as "smart" "progressive" "better" than anyone else, and are immediately accepted.

That's been my observation as well, relatively few progressives and leftists can intellectually explain their positions. Usually conservatives are actually better at explaining the leftist rationale than leftists themselves are able to do. The progressive left is concerned about learning and repeating dogma and narratives and anecdotes that would seem to support them. These are used to virtue signal to peers that the correct things are believed in order to ensure hierarchical status on the left as a virtuous and also of course to feel sanctimonious and self righteous about at a personal level. It's fundamentally about self gratification, which is why outcomes are ignored as versus intent. The result of leftist policy may be suffering and failure, but they can still feel sanctimonious about the intent.

This is why leftists are always en-masse on the same set of narratives at any one time. It seems like they sent out a list of talking points not because they plan this but because it is constantly spontaneously occurring on an ongoing basis from their intellectual political class: the narratives are developed, spread through various media, and settled on as they are observed to fill the political needs of the moment.

I hope they don't do a debate until after the Dem convention. Let them keep that blowhard right where she is at the top of the ticket.

More curious is who they are going to pick for her running mate. Who is worse than she is (if she/they are trying to prevent her from being removed from office)?

Kamala really ought to stiff arm Trump. Do the old "I don't appear with felons" schtick.

I personally hope she does, but she'd be smart not to.

Why would they do a debate? There is a built in 48% of the voting population who will vote for her, and the remaining 2% they need can be secured through propaganda, ballot harvesting, and outright election fraud. If they're smart, they won't even have her do a debate.

The only question that matters. And only a few actually talented pundits have mentioned this yet, is how do the people in PA, WI, MI, AZ, MN, feel about it?

Not nationwide. Not "undecided" in California. Those folks.

Reality is going to start smashing them in the face soon enough. Probably by the end of next week when the polls on the battleground states come in lower than they were expecting (probably about the same as Biden). Until then...I'd watch a bit more baseball.

I hope there is a debate and Trump flattens her. I 'm not overly confident tho becasue he's not that great of a communicator or debater imo. He's good for rallies. He could get some coaching up from Tulsi Gabbard who really did her in in the Dem debates in 2020.

In her debate with pence, Kamala put a lot of effort into attempting to play victim to male bullying. It was an emotional play to her female audience. It didn't work very well given how polite Pence was by nature.

It could be more effective against Trump for certain audiences.
