In her debate with pence, Kamala put a lot of effort into attempting to play victim to male bullying. It was an emotional play to her female audience. It didn't work very well given how polite Pence was by nature.

It could be more effective against Trump for certain audiences.
Correct. Honestly, they need to have the same format they had with Biden on the debate.

That helped keep Trump way more controlled than it actually helped Biden.

Trump needs to be away from crowd reactions and getting pumped up.

I participate in a couple of chat groups that lean left. I've watched both of them have hours long discussions about politics the last two days in which they didn't discuss a single platform issue. I started thinking about it and my assessment of liberals is this: they want to appear intelligent and educated, but don't want to actually do the education part. Most of them think that if they just say the right buzz words, people will think they're informed. It doesn't matter what is actually said in a debate.
It only matters what headlines result.

The only thing I see in Liberal chat forums is about 80% Trump hate discussions, 15 % hate on some other random Republican, and another 5 % drivel about how Republicans are Nazis, fascists, racists or whatever. No solutions of any kind for any problems facing the country, I don't even know if they see any problems as long as DEMs are running the ship into the rocks, they are happy...They are like a huge zombie cult that refuses to see any other message than what the DEM media wants them to see...

Only person dumber than Biden in DC might be Kamala. But the media has their talking points and instructions, it will be full on blitz for the next 3.5 months.

The assassination attempt on a former president and presidential nominee is OLD news already, the only thing that matters is that Kamala will 'save democracy'.
It doesn't matter who is in that captain's chair...Obama is running this ****show from behind the curtain...if she runs and wins, Obama will still be running the show...most likely a broken down Republic of a banana persuasion...

A liberal family member has said to me more than once that her state is "screwing the electric car owners" for charging extra for their registration fees. Evil GOP legislature!!!

When I pointed out this was b/c they don't pay gas tax which covers road maintenance, and also CALIFORNIA, NY and many other states to the exact same thing, she was like "OH".

Then a year later she brings it up again. It's like what I told her went in one ear and out the other.

Let's take the border issue as an example, it wasn't optimal when Trump was in office with the remain in Mexico plan but it was manageable. Could it be improved upon... yes, but it wasn't a crisis. Enter the current Dem administration and they turned a manageable situation into a full blown refugee crisis almost immediately. It's stretching resources like schools and hospitals and law enforcement thin; enriching the cartels and quite probably US politicians; increasing the flow of fentanyl into the US; expanding giveaway programs to illegals excacerbating deficit spending, inflation, and voter integrity; and who knows what it has really done on the potential terror vulnerability front. So there's just 1 example of terrible Dem policies that not only didn:t solve a problem but turned a problem into a full blown charlie foxtrot. That's 1 "issue " with so many knock on negative effects on just about every legitimate American citizen.

Now add on all of the other bad policies and dirty tactics with negative impacts and you get where we are versus where we could have been. It's a deep hole. Other bad policies implemented just off the top of my head: Prioritization of climate change and the related pushing of EV's and unreliable power sources; botched withdrawal from Afghanistan; botched approach and mixed signals in the Middle East; botched dealings with Putin resulting in his invasion of Ukraine; constant pushing of DEI bullcrap; .....the list goes on and on.

Completely agree.

I was more speaking to the broader issues that congress refuses to address.

The problem with Trumps remain in Mexico policy is it goes away as soon as he does.

Only because the Dems were perfectly comfortable not doing their sworn duties. I get that Trump's remain in Mexico was an executive order and therefore not durable but there are laws already on the books that make enforcing the border actual law. Remain in Mexico was Trump's executive plan to follow the law which was his job. Biden and company refused to do their job.

So you've given up?

Simple (didn't say easy) solution , get rid of the free stuff and the problem repairs itself. Do it with a balanced budget amendment where Congress has to prioritize and justify expenditures versus current system where they don't. It would take a lame duck Prez not worried about reelection and some commitment from Congress to do the right thing. I'll admit the latter doesn't appear probable.

I'm not sure being stupid is going to hurt Kamala in a debate. Joe has a double digit IQ and still managed to get in the Oval Office. The Democrat voting base is made up of abject morons (that mistakenly think they are smart) that will believe/do whatever the DNC propagandists tell them.

Maybe her constantly having to speak during the campaign and her having to appear in a "debate" will convince folks to end affirmative action because it just doesn't work. I cannot imagine her getting a degree or getting though law school without some sort of favoritism or special treatment.
