Trump will have Ukraine - Russia settled by next June. Mark it.

We started it. We kept it going when they had a peace agreement. It's what we do. We start wars.

Time to end that way of thinking and behavior.

Watch Tucker's interview with Putin. Putin goes in to the history of how Ukraine was never really a separate country. Also, Putin talks about how Biden shot down a peace deal.

No. Putin wanted Ukraine to be a part of Russia. That's it. It wasn't NATO. Or the CIA. Or Nazis. Of any of that.

It was simply land grab. He just didn't expect Ukrainians to really really not want to be Russians.

We started nothing. Putin drove his tanks over the border...he's a megalomaniac and wants Ukraine and the Baltic states back in the old club again.

They are notoriously paranoid and further surrounding them is not going to work out well.

And yet, they did just this by having Finland and Sweden now join NATO over the past year as a result of this war. Finland in NATO was another of their supposed "red lines".
Uh......not really. Russians never have had any concerns about those two countries....read: non-threatening.

Ukraine on the other hand, has always been their "red line in the sand!" Historically. History. Centuries of it.

If Kamala, and the Biden Administration had not mouthed off about bringing Ukraine into NATO, then maybe none of this would have happened....

Harris/Biden Ukaine NATO

Plenty of news reports around that time frame.

Except Russia had already taken Crimea and begun stirring trouble in eastern Ukraine long before that. This was planned quite some time ago and had nothing to do with NATO.

Russia wanted to take control of Ukraine like they did Belarus but due to the willingness of the US and Europe to get involved, a wrench was thrown in the works. Then it looked like they'd try a more aggressive variant of what they're doing in Georgia. However, Trump screwed with that during his term by beginning to provide aid annd training that enabled Ukraine to more effectively combat Russian shenanigans in Donbas.

What precipitated this war was Biden's projection of weakness once Putin began amassing troops along the border and claiming it to be a "training exercise". The Biden administration whizzed down their leg and tripped over themselves to back down and signal that they weren't going to do anything in opposition, while lots of others waved it off as a bluff. Both of these were exactly the worst things you can do, as Russia and Putin historically shrink from opposing strength and take advantage of weakness. Hence, Russia proceeded as planned since we effectively gave them the green light.

This is also exactly why Trump isn't going to outright bail on Ukraine. Doing so will be seen as a sign of weakness by Putin and will signal to him that future acts in the same vein will pay dividends. China will also receive the same message. Trump will force negotiations but he will also ensure that Russia pays a sufficient price so as to leave a bad taste in their mouth, deterring future jackassery on his watch and sending a message to China that any juice they may get from screwing around with us will similarly not be with the squeeze.

100% incorrect. You are regurgitating propaganda by the same people who also told you weapons of mass destruction were in Iraq and we needed to start that war.

If this war is so important to get on a plane and join the meat grinder. I heard Ukraine is looking for warm bodies.

If it's not that important then again I ask you Kindly. stfu. let's put an end to the senseless killing and destruction.

I've got Putin on line one. He wants to know what this putting an end to senseless killing and destruction things you speak of are.

I guess he, and too many Americans, don't want to accept that Putin started it on his own and he can finish it on his own whenever he wants.

The only "Bad Guy" (i.e. invaded a country causing mass death and destruction for no reason) is Putin.

I think Ukraine and Russia were to meet in Turkey with terms to end the war over a year ago and USA/NATO sent Boris Johnson to squash it so we could keep funding and running a shadow forever war. Trump will get them back to the table with their terms and end the senseless killing.

When is the last time Russia negotiated something in good faith? Ukraine knows any agreement with Russia isn't worth the paper it's printed on. No one needed to "squash it so we could keep funding and running a shadow forever war," because Ukraine isn't stupid enough to agree to it again.

It really amazes me people can't think in complex terms.
It's not black and white.
It's not good guy vs bad guy. It's bad guy vs bad guy orchestrated by another bad guy so a 4th bad guy can get rich.

Here's some advice. You don't have to fall victim to the false dichotomy that you have to pick a side and support them endlessly.

The only person who wanted this war is sitting in Moscow, surrounded by security and luxury, continuing to conscript tens of thousand of the Russian poor and minority classes to hurl to their deaths as he pursues his personal legacy of returning Russia to the imperial behemoth of days gone by.

Granted, others are now taking advantage of it but there's only one guy largely responsible for lighting the fire and continuing to shovel coal into the boiler.

I appreciate the advice, but in the end, everyone's a bad guy to someone, so I'll call that a wash.

That still doesn't mean Putin didn't invade unprovoked, nor does it mean he can't end it whenever he wants.

You do agree, that Putin invaded Ukraine unprovoked and that he can end his invasion whenever he wants, right?

Why are children posting here?

The notion that ones support of a military action can only be shown by actively engaging in said act is stupidity personified. That's akin to me saying, as a vet, "unless you served shut the **** up about military affairs".

Not happening.

More than likely happening. There's not really anything Putin can do to stop that. It also freezes the lines there in perpetuity.

No to NATO. Just give them their nukes back.

(GASP!!! We can't do that. Yeah, we can and we should!)
That just may be the answer. Taiwan the same. (You can be Japan has privately). Anti-proliferation was ruined by W going into Iraq and Obama backing attacking Libya. With it gone, let those two have some protection from their neighboring guerilla hostiles. Just as Israel does.

There are certainly degrees of "bad" in describing bad guys. For example - in this case one bad guy decided to try and take over an entire country who never attacked them and start a war that he could stop whenever he wants to. Please enlighten us what, specifically, the other "bad guys" have done that has come anywhere close to causing the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people.

Yes, name call. You started it in your very first post with "Putin lovers". If you can't take it, don't dish it.

So when you said "any capitulation", you didn't really mean "any" because one cannot really argue that giving Putin/Russia the parts of east UKE they now control would not be capitulating.

Trump will assume office.

War will stop because the US will twilight funding edit or outright flipping the bird to everyone involved.

Ukraine doesn't want to fight if they do not have funds as the funds coming in are the primary reason this hasn't been resolved and put to an end.

Russia will want their energy deal to keep the lights on.

Trump will negotiate all of this and Putin will get his Donbas and his piece of the pie, because no one on either side gives a **** about it and those people are culturally Russian anyway.

I will be here, again, telling all of you I told you so and we will be hundreds of billions poorer because Biden wanted to grease his skids and some Americans, including some here on F16, were stupid enough to believe this conflict was anything besides a poorly orchestrated offensive kept up by corruption from our democrat party.

This conflict stole money from the American people and funneled it back to campaign funds thus making democrats, the war industrial complex, and their buddies (some republicans) rich.

The losers in this are the American people and our currency as well as the young men that senselssly blew each other up.
