Cruz did after the 2022 elections. Go listen to all of the podcasts after the midterms in 2022.

Cruz voting for Scott in the post 2022 leadership election is why Mitch refused to help Cruz.

That is why Mitch refused to give Cruz one cent while Soros/Schumer gave Allred $150 million.

The fact that he says he scheduled it AFTER the election when the article announcing it is from October means he IS wrong.

Also, the new members arrive in DC on the 12th according to McConnell so they scheduled the vote for the next day so they will also be involved. So can someone tell me how this is some nefarious plot against Trump? This allows the new leadership to coordinate the legislative and cabinet confirmations agenda with Trump so they can help his admin hit the ground running.

Ted has not said who he will vote for/back, to my knowledge. He didn't even address it in today's podcast. My suspicion is he will likely back Cornyn unfortunately just due to some Texas (donor) loyalties.

There are a LOT of people in MAGA that hate Cruz for running against Trump the first time and are more than happy to shiv him if given the chance. If Cruz comes out for Thune I will absolutely denounce him for it but I don't trust some anonymous source saying this. I could maybe believe Cornyn since he is from Texas but Thune makes zero sense. Thune and Cruz have fought endlessly in the Senate behind the scenes.

Senator Kennedy said on FoxNews this morning that the internet list floatings around is bogus. But, I agree with you, I think a Thune Senate Leadership would be terrible for President Trump. If it's Cornyn, I think Texans could put more pressure on him to comply with Trump's wishes than the people of North Dakota could put on Thune.

He is one of the folks I was talking about that hates Ted Cruz and DeSantis for running against Trump and will never get over it. These are also folks who see folks like Cruz and DeSantis as a threat to them and do not want them to have access to Trump. The best way to do that is to try to make Trump feel like they are disloyal even though there are no more effective people at actually getting Trump's agenda enacted than people like Cruz and DeSantis.
