On the no-knock warrants, they will still only be used when there is a threat of harm to officers.

Private prisons are not a good thing.
If you say you hate the state of politics in this nation and you don't get involved in it, you obviously don't hate the state of politics in this nation.

Based on cell phone usage. That means they need to add another column that tracks % of time those cell phones or the computers are engaged on Social Media versus real work.

No business should have an incentive more people to be imprisoned. Government run isn't good but we've seen these corporations bribe judges to incarcerate people who maybe shouldn't have been.

Agreed. Prisons and defense are two areas where I'm not a fan of privatization.

All of these EO are just so common sense for any nation that values it's freedom and citizen. Mind boggling that the media and certain government officials let personal hatred of one person lead us down a path of self destruction.

I didn't see this mentioned yet.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/holding-former-government-officials-accountablefor-election-interference-and-improper-disclosure-of-sensitive-governmental-information/

Did I miss it?

Quote:

OFFICIALS ACCOUNTABLE
FOR ELECTION INTERFERENCE AND IMPROPER DISCLOSURE
OF SENSITIVE GOVERNMENTAL INFORMATION

ection 1. Purpose. In the closing weeks of the 2020 Presidential campaign, at least 51 former intelligence officials coordinated with the Biden campaign to issue a letter discrediting the reporting that President Joseph R. Biden's son had abandoned his laptop at a computer repair business. Signatories of the letter falsely suggested that the news story was part of a Russian disinformation campaign.

Before being issued, the letter was sent to the CIA Prepublication Classification Review Board, the body typically assigned to formally evaluate the sensitive nature of documents prior to publication. Senior CIA officials were made aware of the contents of the letter, and multiple signatories held clearances at the time and maintained ongoing contractual relationships with the CIA.

Federal policymakers must be able to rely on analysis conducted by the Intelligence Community and be confident that it is accurate, crafted with professionalism, and free from politically motivated engineering to affect political outcomes in the United States. The signatories willfully weaponized the gravitas of the Intelligence Community to manipulate the political process and undermine our democratic institutions. This fabrication of the imprimatur of the Intelligence Community to suppress information essential to the American people during a Presidential election is an egregious breach of trust reminiscent of a third world country. And now the faith of Americans in all other patriotic intelligence professionals who are sworn to protect the Nation has been imperiled.

Quote:

EXCLUSIVE: Late last night, President Trump's DHS issued a memo that immediately rescinded a 2021 Mayorkas policy which limited ICE enforcement by stopping ICE from making arrests in/near "sensitive" areas like schools, churches, healthcare facilities, etc. The Trump memo throws out that guidance, and instead instructs ICE officers to use "common sense" instead.

ICE officers I spoke with say this will open things up for their enforcement efforts and take the gloves off, as illegal aliens will no longer be able to hide near schools, churches, hospitals, etc to avoid arrest.
Good Lord. The fact that we have to give our law enforcement officers PERMISSION to use common sense just goes to show you how ridiculous liberals are.

Not sure if this is done via EO, but we REALLY need to stop foreign entities/people from owning land in the US and start it off by confiscating the 300k+ acres of ag property owned by China.

The new version of Radio Free Europe. In the internet age. Where 3 billion plus around the world are on Facebook. Over 2/3 of all humans have access to the internet. Yet we want to spend a few hundred million to keep up the facade.

Not sure everything China is doing is a security risk per se, but they have a VERY bad habit of buying up land in other countries, stripping that land of resources and shipping it back to China. They are stripping Africa of precious metals and in the US they are utilizing our farm land and water resources to grow food and ship back to China.

We just got out of an administration who incentivized the entire justice system to not incarcerate people who should have been including corrupt judges and DA's. Pardon me if I'm willing to give private enterprise a little chance.

No, but the point is, government is often grossly wrong and corrupt. That is rather stating the obvious I know.

I would rather have a private run prison with some effective government oversight than purely government run systems. But hey, I could go the other way around too. Government prison with a private consultant doing oversight and reporting to an independent committee.

That's probably best. A blend to check each other. Like others said, you don't want "a profit margin" to play any role in who and numbers incarcerated. Don't want quotas developing.

Yeah, just spitballin' here but how about we focus on ethical judges and this wouldn't be a huge issue.
