I'll bet anything that they left the portrayal of the stereotypical Italian-American NYC cab driver largely unedited because for some reason some stereotypes are ok.

This is why I ALWAYS go with physical media for any movie or TV show I want. I've built up quite a DVD / Blu Ray collection at this point.
These people will eagerly censor anything they don't like. Honestly, I can't believe that Blazing Saddles has not got the Song of the South treatment yet.
