I have to admit this was the first time I ever heard explained the concept of Preference Falsification. Definitely going to be looking for the book, "Private Truth, Public Lies" by Kuran, next time I'm at half priced books.

In the clip above, Lex discusses the concept with Marc Andreessen. It is an incredibly accurate description of why we are witnessing such a rapid political and cultural shift back to the right today. The basic premise is that people have been privately harboring views they believe to be true all the while falsely virtue signaling in public things they know to be false. The power structure attempting to control the narrative is completely unaware of the underlying currents due to the sampling error generated by public lies. However, once a crack develops in the narrative, the dam comes crashing down. Marc believes Elon buying twitter was the initial crack that has led to the current cultural revolution.

"Everyone knows it is a lie, ...everyone knows it is fake. it isn't a truth; it is enforcement of compliance".

Yes. Those who think independently or who were aware of the past more closely always could tell just how malignant and deranged the globalist agenda is. The MSM's role as a villian was increasling obvious from Y2K forward. What was re-assuring last year is learning how much of the center HAD indeed been pretending and feigning compliance. For a while there it looked like fully half were on board with hard left and National divorce and break up of the country was likely the best route forward. It may still prove needful, but seems less inexorable.

Exactly.

Quote:

So off went the Emperor in procession under his splendid canopy. Everyone in the streets and the windows said, "Oh, how fine are the Emperor's new clothes! Don't they fit him to perfection? And see his long train!" Nobody would confess that he couldn't see anything, for that would prove him either unfit for his position, or a fool. No costume the Emperor had worn before was ever such a complete success.

"But he hasn't got anything on," a little child said.

"Did you ever hear such innocent prattle?" said its father. And one person whispered to another what the child had said, "He hasn't anything on. A child says he hasn't anything on."

"But he hasn't got anything on!" the whole town cried out at last.
