Think its pretty clear he would use it to open up Paypal accounts in order to pay Russian hookers to pee on Trump's bed.

I trust Elon Musk with my IRS data more than I trust the IRS with it.
. You trust a guy who has 13 children with 4 different women, smokes pot on air and founded two major companies with heavy government subsidies as a major part of their success. Interesting.
I didn't say I trust him to be my husband...I'm not sure I see your point.
. Everyone seems to think Musk is incorruptible, when he has major business interests all over the world. I am more of a trust but verify kind of guy. As I think all should be.
Do you not think IRS agents are corruptible? If the richest man in the world can be corruptible, and an IRS agent making <$80k can be corruptible, I will take my chances with the billionaire 10/10 times. Did I ever say he's a perfect person? No. But I don't trust much that has been going on over the past several years and I'll put my trust in the change, not the status quo.
Lets see. Do I trust a low level accountant who stands to go to jail for a long long time and lose their job or do I trust a billionaire who can weaponize all of our data to make billions and billions and not go to jail? That's the question you're asking me? I think I would trust the low level accountant. Call me crazy.

The Dems have already beaten Elon to the punch on weaponization.

. You don't think that meta data has massive value? You think Google got rich just providing a web browser. Wake up dude.
I think it's much more likely some fatass bureaucrat making $150K can be bribed than it is that Elon would "weaponize" my metadata. This thread is absurd.

Joe the Plumber had his info leaked. Trump's tax returns were leaked. Elon had nothing to do with it.

wow. That's crazy. Seems like it should be easier for normal Americans to access this information. Thank you for the response. Very enlightening.
I can see your point, but FOIA / PIA requests can place a tremendous burden not only on the responding agency, but anyone else who may need to respond. In our instance, looking into procurements will lead to requests for information from all submitting parties as their information may / will also be disclosed.

You can submit one on your own and I guess you could navigate on your own. But the responding agency has their own staff and counsel to handle the responses.

Rest assured, the FOIA requests on DOGE activities will be funded by Soros and friends, no one here on f16 will need to hire the lawyers on their own.

And that is the broader point. This stuff is of the highest profile and will be subject to all of the tricks, tactics and tantrums the left can muster up.
. Puke time. It's all sickening.

No, Musk is going to give it to Big Balls and he's going to max it out at Best Buy. That way Musk has plausible deniability, that evil genius!!!

I just hope the Dems keep squealing, this is definitely a winning issue for them. Everyone knows their private data has been kept super secret by the government for decades and we certainly don't read about breaches every 2-3 months in all facets of our lives.

Enjoy the farse of the statement "Under pressure from the White House. the IRS...".

In the real world, this would be akin to "Under pressure from the CEO, the tax department is looking into sharing data with the internal audit group."

The IRS is within the executive branch. Trump literally IS the executive branch, so if he wants it to happen then it SHALL happen.

No one else gets an opinion.

If you want to accuse them of misusing, then wait until you have some standing to sue. Till then, kindly STFU.
Seems not a single IRS agent nor any of the bureaucrats in the IRS were elected. Not sure what the ruckus is about.
And I agree wholeheartedly with your statement, "If you want to accuse them of misusing, then wait until you have some standing to sue."

Me personally, expect the records to be investigated will be those NGOs found to be involved in misappropriating government grants.
So you can rest easy that your records won't be examined unless you were involved in the massive misappropriation of government money.
