I trust Elon Musk with my IRS data more than I trust the IRS with it.
. You trust a guy who has 13 children with 4 different women, smokes pot on air and founded two major companies with heavy government subsidies as a major part of their success. Interesting.
I didn't say I trust him to be my husband...I'm not sure I see your point.
. Everyone seems to think Musk is incorruptible, when he has major business interests all over the world. I am more of a trust but verify kind of guy. As I think all should be.
Do you not think IRS agents are corruptible? If the richest man in the world can be corruptible, and an IRS agent making <$80k can be corruptible, I will take my chances with the billionaire 10/10 times. Did I ever say he's a perfect person? No. But I don't trust much that has been going on over the past several years and I'll put my trust in the change, not the status quo.
Lets see. Do I trust a low level accountant who stands to go to jail for a long long time and lose their job
- not sure if serious, when was the last time an IRS agent went to jail, their statements have been challenged in courts a lot and the judgements changed.
or do I trust a billionaire who can weaponize all of our data to make billions and billions and not go to jail?
- He would be under the same rules as they IRS agents if DOGE misuses the information.
That's the question you're asking me? I think I would trust the low level accountant. Call me crazy.
Me personally, expect the records to be investigated will be those NGOs found to be involved in misappropriating government grants.
So you can rest easy that your records won't be examined unless you were involved in the massive misappropriation of government money.
Among the latter, under pretence of governing they have divided their nations into two classes, wolves and sheep.”
