It's not a strawman.

It is to point out that 3 people aren't "the German government". We have plenty of people here in "the government" that act exactly the same as those three people. It seems silly to clutch your pearls, get the vapors and demand we leave NATO over something we do as well.

Unless you are just looking for an excuse (ANY excuse) to get out of NATO.

No country on earth has the commitment to free speech both in concept and reality that the United States does. If we could only ally ourselves with countries that shared the U.S. commitment to individual liberties (a commitment which decreases a bit more every day, btw) then we would have no alliances or treaties with any country.

And if the path isn't changed in Europe soon, their original cultures will all disappear over the next 2-3 decades and there will be nothing left to protect.

No reason for the U.S. to spend money on NATO in the future and I hope that decision is made within the next 4 years.
