Go ahead. Make Election Day and maybe the Monday before it holidays.
hard pass on that.
Why? Maybe even consider it as way of shifting back to Election Day and not the early voting. It would help remove the issue of poll closure cutting close for some after leaving work.

Leftist Democrats "have completely overplayed the Racism accusation. Honestly my first reaction when I hear it today is to assume bad intentions by the accuser, not the accused."

I would say that all the Presidents we honor are more important than Martin Luther King.
I would say that some presidents are more important than MLK. Washington and Lincoln for sure.

I would say that there are many presidents that were not as important as MLK.

there is no reason to try to scale back early voting. especially from a republican perspective.

I did light internet research on this a ways back. But as I recall it's officially federally just "George Washington's Birthday." But Congress, as is so freaking typical, screwed up the math and put it on a date that is NEVER Feb 22. They then tried to cover the mistake by mixing Lincoln into the mix, must mostly it was retailers who invented "President's Day"

And to really go down a rabbit hole, read up on the Calendar Act of 1750 which changed everyone's birthdates, birth years, eliminated part of September, etc. Sort of. It's complicated.

I'm sure they would love to replace it with Unelected Bureaucrats Day.
How about if we get rid of MLK day?
