I'm going to give him a big thumbs down on inflation as I have not seen a plan yet.

Per Trump he is using 20% of DOGE savings towards debt service.

The main bad for me is no Epstein's list made public.

Bad
  • Richest man in the world getting richer and running the country
  • Trump crypto scam
  • Mocking of constitution and equal 3 branch government
  • Appeasing enemies and pissing off allies
  • Egg prices
  • Inflation
  • $4.5 trillion tax cut for the wealthy and gutting of govt agencies that protect citizens

Weak sauce. Dems need to figure out better talking points.
Shhhhh, let them keep those talking points all the way to the mid-terms.
My favs are:
1. egg prices-- Didn't y'all know Trump personally created this variant of bird flu is in his garage.
2. A libtard yelling inflation a month into a presidency; especially given inflation the last 4 years.. Eco ignorance is a Dem hallmark
3. Crying about #3 when the Dems made a mockery of the entire gov using it to steal billions. Now they cry oppression when their crimes, scams, and kickbacks are being investigated

This level of delusion is truly frightening and an example of what the MSM is doing to weaker, illogical, highly emotional minds.

Let's discuss what went well and what did not go well in the 1 month that Trump has been in office. He gets 48 months in total.

Good:
  • ICE raids, though they seem to have dropped off from the news
  • USAID scam exposed
  • Foreign aid stopped

Bad
  • No discussion on H1B visa misuse.
  • Idea of using DOGE savings to give a refund.
  • No discussion on paying down the $36T debt..

Good:
  • TexAgs politics forum traffic

If Kash gets confirmed this afternoon you could see the list by the end of the day. At least that's the rumor.

ETA - He's confirmed. Now you Dems are in big f***ing trouble!!!

Still, I am glad to see this testimony along with hundreds of more just like it.

Deporting 10M to 20M people is going to be a significant deflationary pressure.

So is a Fed budget that trims $2T.

I really don't want any more than that over the next 4 years. That would be plenty. Any more may be dangerous.

So more expenditure.

Let's pay down our debt and show some responsibility.

Yeah, I am willing to be proven wrong, but everything I have read about it seems to point to we arent gong to reduce our spend, just use what they find to pay towards the next budget.

That doesn't do anything towards cutting the actual budget/spend and the very next budget is going to have the same pork (and likely more) with no funds to pay it down.

ETA: Sounds like a better option would be either to return some to the taxpayers and the rest to pay down debt, or take it all and pay down debt. Make the budgets stand on their own and cut them to balance them as quickly as we can

I am always amazed that people can be so disconnected with reality that they believe this stuff. Sure we can all agree or disagree on positions like Ukraine and some of his cabinet hires, but lists like this can only come from people with terminal TDS or who lack basic understanding of economics and how markets and government function.

Maybe it just stays in the treasury. This is money that was about to be sent out but still in possession of the US.

I don't have hope on paying down the debt. If he can deliver balanced budgets, that will be good enough.

Can't entitlements be cut? Sometimes we got to make hard decisions for a larger good.

It's amazing how morons like Fred expect all our problems to be solved in 30 days. Why hasn't he done EVERY SINGLE THING he's ever said, suggested or mentioned by now? Realize what a mess this country is and the scale of change (and time) required to right this ship. 4 years are not even enough, let alone 4 weeks.

I don't know about Argentineans but we in this country are a self-centered and selfish lot. All we care about is ourselves and that too for the near term. Which means we don't even care about our kids or grandkids.

To balance the budget and pay down the debt, we need foresight, sacrifice and short term discomfort. We don't have it in us. Just the sight of many here on this board cheering their "DOGE dividend" said a lot.

Good: Immigration efforts
Intent of effort to cut spending (not remotely strategic)

Bad: Chainsaw approach to fed jobs (lots of committed conservatives being negatively affected)
Musk
Politicizing AGs who are conservative to the nth degree who are just following the law.

My biggest fear is that as much as I agree with the intent of the efforts, we have 4 years to get this right....and if they don't we will be looking not only at another democrat in WH but they will be bolden to use prior tactics AND the new ones that are pushing the envelope of separation of powers.

Hope for the best, be prepared for the worst.

Rand Paul talks about this and I agree

it's called "RESCISSION" to actually send the savings found back to the US Treasury

it needs both houses of Congress and the President to sign it.

That's a real danger. However, to the degree the Federal govt and MSM have been outed as so corrupt and stealing of the public's money and welfare alike, another Democrat in the WH might have to operate more like a 1996 Clinton and with some moderation. And any vast abuse of power will be immediately recognized as the old corruption, and this time around things like a new Convention or even national divorce with some states detaching much easier to argue and look into.
