The legislature is forced to draw districts like that because the Democrats always sue to ensure there are a certain number of black majority districts.

its drawn to put as many democrats in the district as possible and make minorities the majority.

state legislatures don't want toss up districts. they want to assure as many (in texas case) republican districts as possible.

Or maybe he's not. I always have a hard time believing truly awful people have honestly accepted Christ as their savior. Because if they did, they would not act the way they do. Yes, nobody is perfect and we all slip up on occasion. But a repeated habit of outright corruption and theft and lying....that's not indicative of someone who really believes.

Not like it used to be. Ft. Bend demographics are changing rapidly out here.

Turner had an all timer after hurricane harvey when was on tv asking for donations. When he was talking about womens dresses. he said that they needed larger dresses because women in Houston and then he held his hands and arms out demonstrating that the women were really large. My wife still laughs about that.
